Red plum, a little jammy, red currant, cranberry. There are also touches of dried herbs and walnuts, as well as earthy notes of autumn leaves. The aromas don't jump out of the glass, though. In the mouth, soft tannins and moderate alcohol. The acidity is well-integrated. This is soft and easy-drinking. A little darker on the palate with cassis, black cherry, and plum. Slightly herbaceous as well, I'm thinking of tomato stems. Solid finish. Drinking really well still. I'd drink this up soon nevertheless, because there isn't enough structure to suggest it'll improve with further ageing. In a good spot now. |

It is drinking well now, but there is still some youthful vigour, and there is noticeable acidity which is helping to keep it fresh. Medium weight and length. It will be interesting to see how this develops over the next 2 to 3 years. |

Beautiful full, endless taste, fantastic aroma! Such an aristocratic and noble wine! Sassicaia is the true queen of Bordeaux blend wines in Tuscany. If properly cellared, it has many years of life ahead of it. Drink until 2038. Rating 98/100 |

Soft , round and polished and definitely speaks the language iof a polished and well made wine but at the same time lacks any sort of joy and excitement. Felt like a 90 and really we hope time will help here. We suggest one forgets this for another 5yrs minimum. |

Deep ruby in color, it serves up an aroma and flavor profile of black currants, Montmorency cherries, baking spices, Kalamata olives, tobacco and loam. Medium-to-full-bodied, freshly acidic and without any heat from its 13.5% alcohol, it incorporates its wood and medium-weight tannins quite well even at this early stage. Dense in the middle and concluding with a lengthy, racy finish, this is a delightful Bordeaux blend with an Italian flair. Enjoy it over the next 10-12 years. Drink now-2036. |
