Double decanted and then followed over two days. Hint of bricking but appearance is still very youthful. A nice level of complexity on the nose. Fruit is dominated by tart cherry flesh, cherry stone, raspberry, blood orange, dried flowers, and tea tree. Ripe but remains quite fresh. Zippy on the palate. Tannins are still a little powdery but the mouthfeel is fairly supple with a low-to-moderate degree of astringency. Good length. Wine holds up extremely well over 30 hours with very little movement. Drinking well now, but I think this will continue to develop nicely over the coming 5+ years. Very good QPR.

Slow ox’ed for 4 hours before drinking and it was open enough to show some black cherries, earth and some nice rocky detail. Floral too. Nice concentration for the vintage and not overly bright. In fact it’s very well balanced. I think this will be better in a few years but not a crime to open now with a decent airing.

Hope you enjoy your bottles too.

Slow ox’ed for four hours. Showing fairly well. A fairly bright profile with some red and black fruit, herbs, blood and bone, and earth. Tannins are fairly resolved and this is now quite lithe on the palate. Perhaps a little too bright without sufficient power for a higher score. Product of the vintage. Very solid wine all up though.

12/27/2019 1:53:00 PM - Hi Vinomazing! I think it will hold fairly well for another 2-3 years but would be hesitant to hold it much beyond that. Probably won’t fall of a cliff, but can only see a downside beyond that.
    Cheers!
