Over the top. Wife gives this it a 95; I give it an 89. Not to my taste . . . alcoholic, ripe and so rich. At times it's unclear this is even wine. Acidity is not as high as it should be to balance the ripeness. Over the course of the evening, it mellowed, but still not a big fan of this style.

A great example of a food wine. Opened it about two hours before dinner, and couldn't resist a taste. Very grapey is the best way to describe it. Not necessarily sweet, but it was in there. Let it sit for a couple of hours, and then had it with some homemade pizza, and it seemed to suddenly seemed to boil down to a more essential wine, with fruit, acid, tannin, etc. Really nice with the pizza.

very good, but a touch of alcohol heat on the back end, though not surprising considering the 15.9% EToH.
