Almost full bodied on the palate with medium+ acidity, this is more energetic and seemingly fresher than it was last May. And that freshness, combined with the assertive fruit flavors, push the tannic texture towards the background. While this surely could go for quite a few more years, I love where it is at right now. |

Has a dense fruit core with quite firm acid and good length on the palate. Gives the impression of a well made wine, as in low yield or even declassified Barbaresco. 12/2/2017 - jtsejersen@gmail.com Does not like this wine: 80 pointsThis wine is okay. Unfortunately there is a "thin and fungus-like" smell of green branches which I'm quite turned down by. Still it smells of fresh blackberries combined with pepper, mint and a bit of liquorice. The taste is quite one dimensionel, but with a subtle "sour meat" component which brings some acidity to the mouthfeel. A medium finish. I find this wine to be too regular and not quite worth the effort, pricewise.. |

Even though this is Nebbiolo (meaning high acid and high tannins) this wine is actually “light on it’s toes” in terms of body and viscosity. Tasting this wine blind, I think I probably could maybe be fooled into thinking this is young unripe red burgundy. |
