A blend of 85 percent Samsó (Carinyena / over 65 years old vines / mainly red clay soils) and 15 percent Garnatxa Negra, aged for seventeen months in new French oak barrels, followed by a further refinement of twelve months in bottle. Deep dark cherry-red color with violet hues and a solid bouquet revealing intense scents of blueberry, ripe plum, cocoa, Mediterranean herbs and a hint of leather and graphite. The opulent and well-balanced palate is marked by concentrated cherry and black forest fruit, a velvety texture, present but well-behaved tannins and an excellent acid structure. Long, convincing aftertaste with some earthy and mineral remembrances. This wine has a huge potential to improve but is drinking nicely now with a two hours decant. Great QPR. |

Maturation: aged for fourteen months in Allier barriques, followed by a further twelve months refinement in the bottle before release. Color: deep cherry-red with some slight signs of evolution at the rim. Bouquet: attractive nose displaying intense aromas of ripe black fruit, kirsch liqueur, Mediterranean herbs, cedar and a hint of tobacco. On the palate: a well-balanced, medium- to full-bodied wine plenty of lush blackberry and cherry fruit, with well-behaved tannins and a finely integrated acid structure. Finish: persistent aftertaste with a slight balsamic touch. Let the wine breathe an hour before serving it. The wine is in its optimum drinking window now and should hold well for a few more years. |

Persistent aftertaste with some earthy and mineral remembrances. It is recommended to decant the wine one hour prior to tasting. Great QPR. This wine can already be drunk well now but has also a great potential to improve. |
