I was looking for a white burg, preferably a Meursault, to pair with a chicken and mushroom dish and didn't have many options. I've had great experiences with 2020 white burgs, so I was hopeful. This met or exceeded expectations. Great linear, mineral white burg character right out of the gate. Held up really well to the food and blew away (in everyone's estimation) the very good 2020 Kosta Browne One Sixteen. After 90 minutes this softened and maybe got a bit too loose, so I'm not confident this has decades ahead. But it's great today and will likely be great for the near term at the very least. |
