Intense aromas of damp herbs inside a brown paper bag, slowly braised lamb, black liquorice, and baked damsons. Concentrated and seriously structured - this wine clearly has years of future aging potential ahead and while there’s no shortage of enjoyment right now for those who prefer Châteauneuf-du-Pape at its most intense there is undeniable upside in the next five to ten years. |

I Believe you could expect another 5-10 years of peak drinking window with proper cellaring before any major downturn. The QPR of this wine was incredible. When young I was not too impressed, but patience was definitely rewarded. |

Palate is still surprisingly dense, but follows the nose, with marked acidity. Long (30+ seconds) finish, with a lingering tartness. Very good now, but if I had another bottle I'd hold it for 5+ years. |
