4/8/2021 - Thek wrote: 90 pointsPnP consumed over about 2 and a half hours. Nose of dark cherry, black raspberry, slightly savory. Palate is very fruity, intensely dark cherry, but somewhat linear with little development over time. This is very full-bodied for a pinot. Acidity is still fairly high, very slightly tannic. The texture was not yet syrupy, but it seems to be just starting to head in a port-like direction. The bottle was enjoyable but seems to be on the descent based on other reviews. |

8/26/2018 - mflesh wrote: NRTo sum it up, this one is way too young to properly rate. If this one would have been opened up two or three days ago and slow ox'ed it would be probably a 95 or 96. This experience showed a lot of oak. American or possibly Hungarian. Lots of it on the front, and a lot.of toasted oak on the finish. What makes me think there wasn't any taint is that the black fruit notes are definitely there. But it is very youthful and sweet. Agree with Shay's note of dill. I think this one just needs 5 or so years in bottle to work itself out. Structure and depth is there; it just needs time to shine! |

8/14/2018 - PSPatrick wrote: NRBought at Park Avenue Liquor Store during this week's business trip to New York. The wine was medium to dark ruby in colour and threw fine sediment. It offered sweetish, boiled down red berries, raisins, cedar, mint, soy sauce, balsamic notes and complex spice aromas on the nose and palate, which were joined by vegtal notes after some aeration, with prominent acidity, ripe, mostly resolved tannin and very good length. The prominent acidity felt citric and non-natural and ultimately ruined what had probably otherwise been a very pleasant Pinot Noir. There was some alcohol on the back-end, too. A pity. Would not buy again. (NR) |
