12/19/2021 - ocassiuso Likes this wine: NRModerately intense aromas of black cherry and chocolate cake. Dry, with elevated acidity and moderate levels of fine, sandpapery tannins. Medium-bodied, 13°. More cherry and black tea on the palate. Not the tart, red-fruited wine I was expecting. Quite nice. |

8/9/2021 - ocassiuso Likes this wine: NR100% Ciliegiolo. Fairly intense aromas of candied black and red cherry, with a whiff of mint. Elevated acidity, moderate tannins, a bit hollow-bodied, 13°. Nice cherry fruit, pure, but lean not rich. Savory finish. This is nice. Blind, I would probably put it in Piemonte, but be confused about the variety, and end up saying Langhe Rosso. |
