Tasted in Florence, this wine was obviously very young and tight. It developed well and was surprisingly balanced and attractive. I expect it to age well. While it will never be great it may add a point or two.

Really enjoyed this. Sangio aromatics of red/dark red fruit & herbs and structured, acidic finish also very Sangiovese. But the palate has a little extra weight & dark fruit from the Syrah. Nice

100% Sangiovese from Santa Maria cru. Fermented and macerated with the skins for 20-25 days in stainless steel tanks. Aged for 18-20 months in French oak tonneaux. 14% alcohol. Annual production 15,000 bottles.

Deep, moderately translucent and quite luminous blackish-red color. The nose feels sweet, somewhat oak-driven and a bit polished with aromas of dusty cherry and vanilla, a little bit of cloves and other Christmas spices, light primary nuances of dark fruit jelly candies, sweet hints of boysenberry and plum liqueur and a touch of alcohol. The wine feels chewy and quite ripe yet enjoyable savory on the palate with a full body and quite lush but also rather intense flavors of dusty cherries, some woody notes of savory oak spice, light earthy tones, a little bit of sweet spices like cloves and vanilla, a hint of juicy red meat and a touch of toasty oak. The structure seems to rely more on the rather high acidity than on the ripe and mellow tannins at first, but slowly the tannins become more firm and grippy. The finish is dry, moderately grippy and quite long with a somewhat spicy aftertaste of dusty black cherries, some dark plummy tones, a little bit of woody oak spice, light sweeter notes of cloves, a hint of sour cherry bitterness and a touch of vanilla.

A firm and balanced but also very accessible Vino Nobile made in a more modern, polished style. The French oak influence is at times quite obvious here, yet fortunately the wine isn't an oak-drenched blockbuster wine but instead a pretty harmonious and enjoyably structured Sangiovese. I'd love the wine to show more depth and character, as the sweetly-spiced oak tones make the wine feel somewhat banal and anonymous in style, but I guess there's enough aging potential in the wine for it to integrate the oaky flavors with the fruit and develop some additional depth and tertiary complexity with age. Good, but nothing particularly memorable. Feels a bit pricey for the quality at approx. 30€.

Color: cherry + brick red
Nose: black spices, fig, violet
Palate: spice, unripe cranberry, red currant
Mouthfeel: starts light and watery, ends in a big tannic finish

This wine has some pretty big flavor bursts but is unbalanced in its mouthfeel. Definitely moving past its prime.

Tonight I broke my rule and unfortunately Popped and Poured. While the wine is still fresh aromaticaly I really think this needs time. In mouth the wine is more blueberry with a small waft of cranberry emerging. At mid palette the wine excels with acidity dominating over a tannic expression. Finish includes drying notes that border on a declining wine versus an emerging wine. Drink now.

Wonderful Tuscan Merlot. Balanced, elegant, yet driven by a fine note of sandalwood, and enough acidity to keep pushing forward. Absolutely OK to enjoy now, with upside in the coming 3-5 years.

Upon decanting nose of flavorful vanilla aroma. Decanted 1 hour. Once decanted wine presented with light tar & dark chocolate nose, with very nice legs. Flavor of full ripe plums & red licorice with full impressive finish. Very nice enjoyable wine. Served with Parmesan brodo w/meatballs & tortellini.

Clear ruby color that you easily can read through. Tearing is moderate. Cherries and savory notes are the first one to detect on the nose. Balsamic vinegar, dried savant herbs, backing spice, but nit overpowering - well interglrated oak.
tart crunchy red berries on the palate, noticeable tanning and acidity. Might need an hour to open up though.

Christmas 2019 (my house)

Needs time to settle as it's acidity definitely exists and requires air. Once in mouth this wine shows its balance and it's gusto. From start through the mid palette the wine shows earth, mushrooms and iron. On the finish the Iron continues with added cherry, and earth. The balance and complex flavors make this wine with worth finding.

Had this at the winery during our friends trip to Tuscany in Sept/ Oct 2019

This was the best of the wines we tasted from Bindella. It is a medium to light dark wine with a ripe tangerine aromatic nose. On the palette it is all bright cherry and some cherry cola with a bit of mushroom.

Had in Tuscany on trip with friends 9/27 to 10/5amd at the winery.

This was light colored and delivered a bit of a punch. Quite honestly I didn't expect the fruit given the color and aromatics. Decent and worth finding. Mulberry, some strawberry, and underbrush.
