It was fine, but ordinary, absolutely no finish to speak of. Any tannins, very mellow.

Medium-bodied, forward, soft, fresh and oaky, the wine offers a core of ripe, sweet, red berries with a hint of cocoa and espresso on the round-textured palate that carries through from the mid-palate to the finish. This will be easy to enjoy on release. Drink from 2023-2030.

I did a side by side comparison between this and a California cab to pair with A5 Wagyu. The earthy flavors worked better. It's not the most sublime wine but it goes well with rich foods.

Attractive graphite and red plums with plenty of spice leading to a palate that has a succulent polished array of tannins that deliver good power and length.

Same as our last note. This is a nice, typical dry French bordeaux - meant to be consumed in the short term as an everyday simple dinner wine. If you like this style, it's actually a good price/quality sipper.

So for a cheap red wine this was pretty good. It wasn't overly sweet and fruity like a American red wine. Pretty tannic and acidic. No real finish but quite drinkable.

Nice everyday wine. Nothing spectacular, won’t bother to buy again, but was not offensive in any way - just not remarkable.

Served at room temperature with Stuffed Bell Peppers. Medium opacity, somewhat dusky, Garnet red on the pour. Blackberry on the nose. Palate - thin and lacking flavor, heavy on acid and tannin.
Disappointing. Spouse does not like.

Day 2:
Color cleared up on the pour, still medium optical density. Somewhat off-putting sour taste on the palate (but not bitter).
Lingering finish. OK if you like acid and tannin.
Dumped the rest. Will not repeat.

Very nice $12 wine from Costco. Lots of fruit (more than typical for a French wine), mild tannins, dry. A bit simple, but an easy sipper and good with food. For the price, it's a great weekday wine.

Nice and savoury. Blackcurrant (not too ripe), grip, nice balance, drying finish. Good value!

medium red, aroma is a bit distant and hollow, initially tastes basic but gives a firm tannin backbone to food and opens up

This latest bottle bounced back wonderfully from the disappointing one this summer. This one was rich, full, smooth, and complex. Great nose. Glad I have one left. Don't expect further improvement, and risk for decline seems high, so I'll drink it this year.

Dark brownish red with medium optical density and high reflectivity. The nose is aromatic, with menthol, cedar, graphite, and earthy red fruits, including plum, cherry, and berries. With some time, develops some celery seed and vegetal notes in a very pleasing and complementary way. A very enticing nose, with delicious and juicy notes coming across. The palate is medium bodied, with a fresh acidity that provides a lively step. An even texture with medium density and concentration, showing tannins that are in the background more than anything. The attack shows juicy red fruits with medium intensity and is straight-forward. The midpalate picks up some intensity with fresh garden soil and fruit rolled in tobacco and toffee. The finish has good length and ok intensity, leaving a smokey warm fruit lingering.

This is a really easy-drinking, solid, red Bordeaux that is affordable. Has a really nice balance of juiciness, concentration, fruit, and earthy flavours that is easy to like. Really nothing out of place- just well-balanced and delicious. Not a stunningly complex or dense wine, but just a classy and refined old world Bordeaux that delivers way above its price point. Drinking exceptionally well at the moment, and while I don't see it gaining in complexity a huge amount, it certainly has potential to age further. Really great value wine here!

Enjoyed this far more than I expected at this price. This wine offers a distinctly Bordeaux profile at less than $15. Smoky dark fruits, some cedar, and earthiness. Enough tannin to give it some edge while still being nicely balanced and drinkable. Obviously not as complex or powerful as some o its more expensive neighbors, but very good for the price. I'd say drink now and for the next 5 years or so.

Nose of ripe fruit and incense. Solid structure with good acidity and tannins not quite resolved. Ripe fruit, with no hard edges. Smoke and earthy character. Good value for 2010 Bordeaux at $14. Should develop nicely over the next 2-5 years.

Decent table wine. Well balanced, with a fair amount of finesse for the price. Paired very well with mushroom risotto, and has a smooth, if short finish. Nose with nice clean floral elements and at times what can only be described as pink bubblegum.
