I did not really like it all that much. The base wine is bleed wine from someone wanting to add concentration to their red wine. This is not always bad. To me once they break the skins, the resulting rose is too rustic for my taste. I can see why some would like this. There is an expressive earthy flavor that tastes like grape skins. Beyond that, they did a nice job with the secondary fermentation and dosage. Has really nice intense mouth feel. The bubbles are not all that active. The finish is rustic, but bright red fruit and plenty of earth. |
