This is not the worst. I was a little surprised initially because this is off-dry. I did not expect this amount of RS. But once I got over my initial shock, it is somewhat well made. The nose offers some quince jelly (pâte de coings), honeycomb and citrus. Decent palate with the plenty of fruit, good acidity to cut through the sweetness and a long finish on candied lemon.

I'm not a Viogner fan. Well except in small doses in my Côte-Rôties.

Very expressive nose of honeydew melon, peach, honeysuckle, wildflowers and almond paste. The palate is Viognier-y: slightly oily, missing acidity to my taste and rather flat. It ain't got no zing. The alcohol is sticking out and the medium finish happens on bitterness. I think even a Viognier aficionado would find that this doesn’t feel integrated; the pieces just don't seem to fit together. Not for me.

Light straw color. Typical Sauvignon nose of grapefruit, flint, herbs and asparagus. As with the Gamay yesterday, the alcohol is perceptible on the nose as well. Round, silky mouthfeel with grapefruit bitterness and a long finish. This reminds me of a number of other Sauvignons out there. Not a rebuy for me. 14.9% alcohol.

On the nose, I wouldn’t have guessed Gamay. I guess I’m too used to Beaujolais. Super ripe cherry, some raspberry, kirsch, star anise and cherry pie. The alcool shows up on the nose with the kirsch notes. I look at the label: 14.9%. I almost never drink Zin but the nose reminded me of some Primitivo I had a while back. The palate is polished, good fruit concentration, medium acidity and the tannins barely show up on the finish. Somewhat short finish with some alcohol showing up and bitterness as well. I really had to get out of my Beaujolais mindset to go through this. I’m thinking it sees some oak but older barriques (or not much toast). I wouldn’t mind revisiting this with some more age on it but it’s not really in my wheelhouse and it’s definitely a tad “hot”.

Really nice blend of 4 red varieties. Dark red ruby color. Medium body. Nice bitter sweet taste. Blackberry, raspberry, prunes, cocoa, tobacco and some vanilla notes. Silky.

Heather, huckleberry and wood-spices in the nose and on the palate as well. Medium-bodied and a bit of dusty tannins but good structure and lifting acidity.

Dark pink color. Very pleasant in nose. Taste of multiple red berries. A fresh drink, that I had slightly chilled. Was really a pleasant surprise and I can recommend both for an apéro as well as with spicy Asian dishes.

Maybe my best Swiss wine so far. I decanted it for 3 hours before serving. The nose was really complex, with a dark fruits, white flowers, slighly spicy, some black pepper.
On the palate, it was medium-bodied, with a great acidity and a good length.
Will definitely buy again.

Couleur jaune très pâle. Trop de ressemblance avec le Riesling qui n'est pas mon cépage de référence... il manque de l'acidité pour donner un meilleur équilibre à ce vin.
