Fruit driven, with a bit of smoke, this ticks all the right boxes for a glass of meditation Riesling. Slight hint of petrol, plenty of limey fruit - this is not one of those super stony, slate dominant Rieslings, it's more a rounded fruity style. I think it will sit at this happy level for another 5 years easy. |

Acidity very strong on the palate, dry and complex, precise and concentrated. What prevents a higher score for me is the long, yet bitter grapefruit finish. I have not been exposed to aged Riesling much in the past, certainly not dry Auslese, but I am planning to become more familiar. We paired the bottle with fennel salad and shrimp. A unique experience. |

Slightly less intense than I remember from both the 2016 and 2018 vintage, perhaps a little closed down at the moment. Richly textured mouthfeel. Soft and creamy with a good acidity that offers structure. Fresh apple, mandarin, orange, sweet pineapple. Fruity in style with the herbal touch so typical of the Ürziger Würzgarten. Long finish. Drank it to a cod with sauce based on champagne and cream. Very good and I believe it actually would make an interesting fit also with meat dishes. Why not a fillet of beef with a rich sauce? |

Am Gaumen gute Frucht, aber auch ausgeprägte Mineratlität und ein wenig metallischer Beigeschmack. Die Säure ist balanciert und für meinen Geschmack auch nicht zu hintergründig. Für mich ein 15er, der das Gute dieses Jahrgangs auch noch heute sehr schön zum Ausdruck bringt. |

This wine has vibrant acidity to match its generosity and RS. There is something waxy on the nose that translates pleasantly on the palate. It is ready to enjoy today, but I imagine it has plenty of life left ahead. Like others have said, it's an excellent deal. |
