Very Bordeaux-like and still young. 36% merlot, 33% cabernet sauvignon, 23% cabernet franc, 5% malbec, 3% petit verdot. Another 10 years will help. |

12/6/2022 - oakville72 Likes this wine: 92 pointsAbsolutely terrific stuff with dynamic blueberry-raspberry nose, spicy fruit and lengthy finish encompassed by tongue-teasing acidity. 75% cinsault, 20% malbec, 3% petit verdot, 2% tempranillo. So sad that terrific small, family wineries like Pleasant Hill succumb while larger wineries producing mediocre wines survive. |

This Carnation Red at $13 would be blown away by Bunchgrass or D2 (other Wash wines with a better track record). There are so many wineries, I had stopped tasting new entrants. THis effort will certainly keep me buying them as single tasting bottles, not as something to lay down. |
