4/21/2024 - Alexander Smith Likes this wine: 94 pointsFantastic purity and elegance on this Pinot Noir from Soter. Blackcurrant, dark cherry, dark plum, dark crushed violets, black tea and gummy bears. The palate shows incredible depth and elegance, dark nearly black fruit fruit flood the palate , with incredibly silky tannins, black tea notes, a little crushed stone sparkly texture as well on the mid palate. So much persistence and layers yet underlining elegance to this wine, finishes long and with a little spice. 94-95 |

Obviously the concentration isn’t that of a better vintage, but oh man this is balanced and precise and keeps getting better each glass. Wonderfully delineated flavors, archetypal of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir: brown earthy spices, cola, red apple skin, slightly sour cherry, wild raspberry, pastille candy. Super-fine tannins and still plenty of acidity to go four or five more years. Now-2029 |

4/1/2024 - anstruletz Likes this wine: NRDark pink. It actually is showing a lot of maturity even though it was a 2021 disgorgement. Certainly not over the hill, but I'd say it's in a good drinking window right how. Strawberries and minerality for the win. |

2/27/2024 - mzimberg wrote: 91 pointsParty 70s disco velvet purple. Wild and fresh aromas with layers of detailed flowers, earth and cherry liquor. Painfully intense almost hard palate. Nothing is green or off but it’s all closed up on itself. With a lot of coaxing there is a smoked game followed by chocolate and coffee covered black cherries. This may well come more together with age and if it does could merit a much higher score as the basic ingredients are all there. Needs lots and lots of air to show. |

2/21/2024 - Rywyine Likes this wine: NRThese soda roses are very tasty. This one continues that trend although compared to the 16 I had this seemed a bit more fruit forward, and also in kind of An awkward phase stronger red fruit that I remember and a bit sweeter. I would be curious how it showed in a year. Sorry, I don’t have a whole lot more specifics as I didn’t take formal tasting notes. |

12/24/2022 - RoosterBird Likes this wine: 93 pointsThis is the kind of new world pinot I love. It’s light-bodied but not thin, red fruit dominant, with strawberry, cranberry and hibiscus, with a slightly bitter but silky tannin structure, and a backbone of acidity built on a foundation of minerality. It needs time though - it gave me the impression that it may shut down for a few years and then begin to unfurl its tricks from 2025 onward. |

1/28/2024 - Dbzzz Does not like this wine: NRThis had more in common with the cremant that you forgot about in your cellar than the champagne you aged on purpose. Overly oxidized, tastes and smells of bruised apples. Bought at the winery. |

1/2/2024 - VAGenius Likes this wine: 93 pointsNose shows a lot of forest floor and earth covering some darker fruit aromas. A punch of baking and exotic spices flow into black tea, black raspberry, and herbal notes with espresso bitterness. Smooth, focused finish first presents the tannins, then adds blackberry, raspberry, and blue fruits followed by oak. A very big wine for a Pinot Noir. |
