4/19/2024 - timewithwine Likes this wine: NRThe color - almost candied lemon peel - invites. The bright nose delivers candied lemon peel, pear, nectarine, honey and white stone fruit. All the same on the palate with the honeyed minerality taking center stage. By the mid-palate an almond nuttiness appears through the finish. The round mouthfeel and surprising weight all add to the fun. Why I don’t buy more of this, I don’t know. Double decanted; yes, do this. Drink now or hold. 12.5% alc. With assorted cheeses, crusty bread and crab dip. 04.19.24. Recommended. |

4/20/2024 - wlsch Likes this wine: 91 pointsPnP. Cherry, berries, pie spice, some floral notes. Underlying notes of underbrush and earth. Medium body, medium+ acidity, still mild tannins in the finish. There's a tiny amount of astringency in the finish that seems oak derived. I think this is at its peak, and while there's no rush, I'll open my last bottle in the next 1-3 years. |

4/17/2024 - thesternowl wrote: 92 pointsPopped and poured, enjoyed over the course of three days. Consistent throughout but it seems a little more showy the first two days. The 2021 Temperance Hill pours a bright ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of strawberry, Luden’s “Wild Cherry” Throat Drops, red flowers, and hot rocky earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Drink now with some patience or through 2036. |

4/12/2024 - thesternowl wrote: 92 pointsPopped and poured, enjoyed with friends over the course of an hour or so. The 2021 “Zenith” pours a light ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing and holy whole-cluster Batman! Notes of funky strawberry, raspberry, pomegranate, and forest floor. On the palate the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes form the nose. The finish is medium+ and certainly has some Burgundian sensibilities. Wow, I really dig this and love the soft mitts that Vincent and his team are using. Lovely, compelling stuff and a producer to keep an eye on. Drink now and through 2036+. |

4/10/2024 - thesternowl wrote: 92 pointsPopped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple days. Best on Day 2 as the fruit gained a lot of power. The 2021 Royer Vineyard pours a straw color with medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with medium+ intensity. Notes of matchstick, starfruit, passionfruit, lime, and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+; zippy with intriguing minerals. Drink now with patience but better after 2025 and through 2036. |

4/14/2024 - WineGold wrote: 92 pointsVery tasty and plenty of life here. This Pinot Blanc has a gentle sweetness that's nicely balanced by some acid. Good body. Some interesting layers but not extraordinary depth. Perfectly enjoyable wine for a warm spring day. At 12.5% it goes down easy and is refreshing. I think there's several good years to go here. |

4/12/2024 - rieslinghoarder Likes this wine: 94 pointsBlack raspberry, black cherry, crushed rocks, and a touch of nutmeg on the nose. Deep and concentrated in flavor, thought not heavy on the palate, with refined tannins and fresh acidity. On the second night the wine is more decidedly blue/black fruited and perfumed. It has weight and then it doesn’t, with a lattice of blueberry/blackberry and rocky minerals that spreads across the tongue and lingers until the next sip. |

4/4/2024 - timewithwine wrote: NROnce again this is translucent ruby in the glass. Oh, VA on the nose. Ugh. Nevertheless, the nose delivers sour and black cherry, herbs, forest floor and mushroom with the palate tracking the nose. The VA mostly blows off but never goes away. The medium weight gives the wine just enough heft with the meal. The finish is a bit sour. Absolutely no sediment. I should have decanted this. It would have benefited from that extra care. 13.7% alc. With roasted pork chop under mushroom sauce. 04.04.24. Recommended with reservations only due to the VA; probably an off bottle. |

3/29/2024 - wlsch Likes this wine: 91 pointsPnP. Dark berry, dark cherry, spice, earth. The nose is terrific. The palate seems a bit tight right now and a little tarter than I remember, but there's some lovely cranberry and pomegranate in the finish. Perhaps not as open as the last time I tasted it in June 2022, but it's still a really solid wine. Might be best to hold for a few more years since it seems a it closed now It will easily go through 2029, so no rush on the remaining bottles. 1 person found this helpful, do you? 3/29/2024 - gbanks Likes this wine: NRThis is great. Took a couple of days open (!) to bloom, but once it did, it revealed quite a lemon curd richness made buoyant by ample acidity and minerality. Oddly almost a sour diesel-like (as in the strain) note on the nose too. |

3/22/2024 - Dale M wrote: 93 pointsDecanted 2 hrs. While I have had quite a few of the WV designate chards and pinots, I have yet to open a single vineyard Vincent beverage, time to remedy that on a Wednesday night. Having enough of the WV's pinots, I was pretty aware and love the house style - here we have a bit more oomph and power but at no expense of the elegant elegance and purity Vincent's wines are known for. Dark fruits flirting with red tendencies, some floral notes hover, and most excellent overall harmony and balance. Ok, time to sleep for a bit. Berserker Day purchase. |

Depth of flavor is somewhat limited but still a very nice wine. If it picks up weight down the road this will be quite a nice wine. Big potential. 92/93. Day two update —did indeed fill out nice, still prominent oak. Going to be quite nice down the road but needs time. |

3/6/2024 - Bjweiss Likes this wine: 93 pointsSurprised the other scores here aren’t higher, or maybe the wine is just coming out of a deep sleep. For what it’s worth my bottle is utterly fantastic. Aroma is leaping out of the glass with cherries and cranberries making up the fruit profile, but the bigger surprise here is the bouquet of fresh herbs and freshly ground spices that stand toe to toe with the fruit. The palette delivers what I consider to be a perfect balance for Pinot noir. Fruit is ripe without feeling sugared, and there’s just enough body here to provide silky texture, and the alcohol is never making itself overtly present. It’s just an outstanding wine. Long, complex. Can’t ask for much more. Do give this several hours in the decanter. It gets better and better with more herbal presence which seems to emerge with more air. |
