6/7/2019 - Keith Cooper Likes this wine: 88 pointsTasted at the Three Borders Wine Group, Hampshire, UK. Dark garnet colour. Peppery, strawberries on nose. The palate has upfront fruit showing raspberries, pomegranate, cassis. This is quite a big wine and really needs food. Probably better in another couple of years. Pleasant overall. |

12/25/2016 - Delectable Blue Likes this wine: 88 pointsNot bad for a cheap and cheerful desert wine. Sold as a clean skin, but surprisingly carrying eight years bottle age. Maybe some old stock that had to be moved. The colour is a deep vibrant gold. The nose is honey. The fruit is ripe apricot with citrus rind and creme brulee adding depth. Not as rich or intense as some of the better known brands, nor as sweet, but enjoyable and refreshing. Beautifully matched with Christmas pudding. |

Like an iron beam covered in honey. The palate is translucent and light, medium/dry for sweetness and with a glassy character. It has a freshness to it, but also a brittleness that suggests it will fall over very quickly. For now, it’s very drinkable, and avoids too much heavy sugary botrytis cloying character which often mars Riverina sweeties. |
