Medium yellow color. Nose: grapefruit, honey, and silver osmanthus flower. Mouth confirms the nose - grapefruit-like vivid acidic attack followed by honeyed richness (a touch of residual sugar) and intensely floral finish. Almost tastes like a cross between Gruner vertliner and muscat - expressive and ripe, taking advantage of 2021 characteristics well. 90-91.

Light yellow.
Beautiful summery aromas of green plants, sweet citrus and oranges, and more.
Beautifully crafted wine with those acids that make Grüner Veltliner worth drinking. Lovely! Lifted architecture allowing for a soft/bashful mineral aspect to shine through. Pure, elegant and much more than a quencher.

Long and terribly satisfying :-)

Primaries are definitely orchard (ripe green apple and tart pear) and citrus (lemon and lime zest). Slight leesy notes and a touch of flinty minerality. Acidity is medium-plus and rather soft. Crisp, clean, and refreshing.

An awesome organic and vegan white wine from Austria, 100% Grüner veltliner. Nice golden colour in the glass. Aromas and flavours of white peach. Paired well with curry salmon as the spices blend well with this wine. 12% alcohol.

Very nice, rather subtle aromas, but silky and balanced on the palate, delicate greens coming through, very subtle white pepper note, good length. Excellent high class Gruner, but not flashy at all. Pasta Bar w/B&BSwan&S

Golden hue. Expressive aroma with melon citrus and spices. Nice and round body and a lingering finish. Forceberry has superb notes and agree that the QPR on this wine is excellent.

Pale and rather neutral yellow-green color. Ripe but also somewhat reticent nose with sweet-toned, slightly restrained aromas of white peach, peppery spice, some steely mineral tones, a little bit of juicy Golden Delicious apple, light floral notes, a hint of developed waxy character and a touch of cantaloupe. The wine is lively, firm and bright on the palate with a medium body and precise flavors of stony minerality, fresh red apple, some floral notes, a little bit of steely minerality, light notes of cantaloupe and a whit of white pepper. The quite high acidity lends great sense of freshness and balance to the wine. The finish is long, fresh and lively with steely mineral notes and crunchy flavors of golden apple, some pear, a little bit of white pepper, light notes of cantaloupe, a hint of steely minerality and a developed touch of waxy character.

A wonderfully fresh and bright Grüner Veltliner with good sense of balance and depth of flavor. The overall feel is slightly less crisp and mineral than the wonderfully focused 2013 vintage, but otherwise this was really up my alley in our mini-vertical of 2014-2011 Purus Grüner Veltliner. Remarkably youthful for its age, coming across perhaps as the least developed of the four wines, even though this was the oldest one in age. Shows good potential for future development. Very nice, priced according to its quality at 24,80€.

Pale lemon-yellow color with subtly greenish highlights. The nose feels restrained, somewhat sweet-toned and slightly waxy with subtly evolved aromas of wizened red apples, some wet stone minerality, a little bit of woolly lanolin, light green-toned notes of aromatic herbs and pea pods, a sweeter hint of honeydew melon and a touch of perfumed floral character. The wine is rich, full-bodied and moderately concentrated on the palate with noticeably ripe flavors of red apple and fresh pineapple, some stony mineral notes, a little bit of white pepper, light floral notes of honeysuckle and subtly green hints of grassy herbal character that reminds me a bit of Sauvignon Blanc. The alcohol shows a bit through. The medium-to-moderately high acidity keeps the wine somewhat in balance, but the overall feel is quite round and somewhat soft. The finish is quite long, somewhat warm and slightly evolved with a bit concentrated flavors of honeydew melon, some ripe red apple tones, a little bit of beeswax, light sweet notes of pear, a hint of stony minerality and a touch of wool.

A ripe, lush and fruity vintage of Purus Grüner Veltliner. In our mini-vertical of 2014-2011 Purus Grüner Veltliner, this vintage was lacking a bit on the acidity, but unlike the similarly soft but rather underwhelming 2014 vintage, this had lots of ripeness, weight and sense of concentration. The wine is in a good shape right now, but I can imagine the wine will continue to develop for at least a handful of years. However, the overall impression is a bit lukewarm, as the surrounding vintages 2013 and 2011 showed more freshness, precision and intensity in comparison. A nice wine, but perhaps a bit pricey for the quality at 23,80€.

Quite intense lime-green color with light lemon-yellow highlights. Ripe yet somewhat restrained nose with nuanced aromas of spicy red apple, some beeswax, a little bit of woolly lanolin, light notes of pear, a spicy hint of white pepper and a sweeter touch of juicy apricot. The wine is noticeably firm, precise and refreshing on the palate with a medium body and intense flavors of fresh white peach, stony minerality, some chalky mineral bitterness, a little bit of pear, light evolved notes of honey and woolly lanolin, a hint of wizened golden apple and a touch of extracted spiciness. The overall feel is structured, thanks to the high, incisive acidity. The finish is long and quite acid-driven with intense, crunchy flavors of fresh red apples, some stony mineral notes, a little bit of developed woolly character, light honeyed tones, a hint of ripe peach and a touch of white pepper.

An impressive and wonderfully structured Grüner Veltliner with great sense of precision and ripeness without much sweetness. The wine shows understated nuances of evolution, but the overall impression is still very youthful and promises lots of good things regarding aging potential. A very complete wine. Although leaner and less fruity than the other vintages in our 2014-2011 Purus Grüner Veltliner mini-vertical, this was my favorite of the bunch. Good value at 22,80€.
