Nose was sweet tobacco like a Nat Sherman Hampton. Milk chocolate, vanilla blended with ripe blackberry and blueberry. Nose is not big and bold but pleasant fun to keep coming back too, plenty of secondary scents. Black pepper flowers eat. On the palate fruit forward and slightly sweet but not over the top fruit bomb, soft and velvety as you roll it around the mouth. Really interesting fun drink really enjoyed. Will get more. |

Nose had a earthy quality that played well with the dark fruits some hints of leather and a little funk. Had nice rich ripe blackberry with a touch of sweetness a lot of wood almost like branched through a wood chipper. Nice wine went well with aged New York cheddar. |

I think this wine right now was a perfect balance of tannins acid fruit and secondary flavors Lots of spice quickly mellowed by soft fruit lingering finish with hints of anise. One bottle left has a couple of years but it will make a special dinner in July. Enjoyed with some humbolt fog cheese and fig spread. |

LEDs their purple red in color nose is wonderful. This all cherry and Tabasco I get a hint of licorice On the palate nice fruit with a sharp lingering finish. Ripe cherry Tart strawberry nice balance of sweetness with the acid Had on glass with penne in a rich meat sauce went well. Will finish with some Gorgonzola drizzled with honey Nice wine. |

Did a double decant initial nose bit heavy on the alcohol but under that nice ripe cherry and red fruit after settling and drinking through the night. Nice earthy tones some Italian herbs and hints of tomato vine and mushroom. Strong tannins and lingering finish. A wonderful Chianti. Kept saying I need to drink more Chianti ........like this. |

Nose is black cherry jam. Some wet forest underbrush. Milk chocolate vanilla and tobacco. Has I nice pleasant entry nice dark fruit nice secondary notes of vanilla and light chocolate. Not your average amarone I think it can be really versatile with food and pleasant on its own. Understand why this is one of their flagships. Real good. |

Nose strong alcohol behind the ripe cherries some red currant. Has some bitter herbs and portobello mushroom. Nice complex pleasant on the palate get hints of fennel and rye on the finish. Lovely nose first thought was I am walking into one of those mushroom houses where they are grown. Right under neath that a basket of red ripe cherry and strawberry. Some nice spice and sassafras. On the palate it packs some heat but that quickly gives way to nice fruit and a soft pleasant roll through your mouth. Nice Santa Rita Hilo’s Pinot. Fess can always be counted one to produce real nice Pinot. Paired with some chips sour cherry jam and an awesome cavemen blue cheese from Murray’s cheese shop. The pairing elevated both the cheese and the wine. Also look up Murray’s best cheese on the East coast |

Has a interesting grandmas basement cupboard to it. The palate is on entry racy strong acid but refined and soft on the finish. Evolved nicely through the night The acid mellowed some fruit came more forward as did some nice floral notes. Wonderful drink. |

Once settled I get sour cherry jam real ripe almost end of life strawberry , earl grey tea hint of black twizzler. Alll wrapped up in a dusty basement. On the palate comes in fresh and fruity but quickly tightens up due to some nice minerality and acid. This is well balanced I opened on the cooler side as I like to do that with Pinot noir and let it evolve. This is a real treat. Had with a cheese plate. French boucheron. Manchengo. Some raw honey and strawberry’s and grapes. It played well across the board |

First sip was. A bit jarring though tannins were softer acid level felt off Let it sit for 30 minutes and it settled down marched the pleasantness of the nose.
