Annual Gentlemen's Dinner (Home): Same notes as two years ago. Evolved even more, no signs of fatigue, was even better the next day. So it will improve even further. I don’t see any near end of the drinking window. A treat. A ‘wow’ wine!

Deep red. Powerful nose of cherries and dark fruits. Sweet start, cherries and tar/ tobacco in the middle, spicy and loooong aftertaste. Perfectly integrated / sweet tannins. Among top 10 of all CC out there. Drink now + 5

Once again an excellent experience. Quite tough immediately after opening, but after a double decant over three hours it settled down and proved to be an excellent companion to the dinner. Cherries, chocolate, some dark berries and firm tannins smoothing out with air and food. This was the last bottle of this vintage and we already miss it and hope for the -16 to be as good. Served to a steak from deer with chanterelle sauce. Excellent pairing with the wine matching the chanterelles in a great way. I’m
Had with grilled wagyu ribeye, grilled mushrooms, smashed potatoes, and burrata. Fine, indeed, but will improve with at least five years in the cellar. Bright dark cherry, some citrus, ample tannins, some leather and tobacco. It'll be worth the wait.

We’re continuing our journey with this wine. Once again it was excellent. Decanted an hour before serving. Tannins are still rather firm and a decant is highly recommended. Full-bodied with lots of cherry, plum, licorice and chocolate. The oak is present and well integrated. Served to a veal steak with vegetables from the oven and a sauce based on cream, tomato and Mediterranean herbs.
