Rich very dark ruby red in colour. Gentle burnt smokey berry notes. Beautiful refreshing taste on the tongue. Doesn't taste like a typical Rioja. It's oakey, sherbet, hickory, but not full of fruity flavours. A unique wine, overtones of a good brandy, smooth. very enjoyable.

Dense deep dark blood red. Subtle musky fruits with vanilla wiffs. Intensely complex flavours smooth. High acidity, blueberry notes. A kickback similar to cognac ... kind of. Suggesting a slightly hot finish. Certainly fine wine .. Enjoyed on Jims Birthday.

Deep plum cherry red in colour. Enticing nose, dark fruits, cassis, and eucalyptus. Looking forward to tasting! Very smooth and silky mouth feel, popped and poured within 5 minutes with no hint of bitterness. It developed well in the glass. This wine is well balanced and very well made. Elegant and smooth cherry fruits, strawberry, fine tannins. The acidity is mouthwatering but with no hint of sharpness. We enjoyed this distinctively new world fine wine.

Deep dark red colour. Strong jammy aroma, strawberries and red berries very refreshing. On the taste it continue with the nose of strong jammy rich flavour, just a hint of tannins. Develops into a rather smooth taste with a slightly acidic after taste.

Cherry red in colour. black cherry and ripe raspberry on the nose and a slight smoky flavour on the pallet. You could do a lot worse for the price £5! Quite enjoyed it as a simple glass with some lunch.

Deep rich dark red berries. The nose is lovely. Intriguing beautiful floral. Decanting for 1 hour allowed the depth of quality to rise through the glass. On the taste it is instantly smooth, beautifully balanced, simplicity is it's strength. A mix of sweet dark and red fruits. Extremely well made in a new world style. Definitely a good wine moment.

Gentle fruity notes of blackberry and subtle chocolate hints. Taste of rich fruit, blackberries, cherry with vanilla oakyness. Enjoyable. Lacking in overall depth but good value.

Bottle purchased with the guys after a big big session the night before. Dropped into the local wine merchants and shared the price. Sat down to enjoy this wine on an English summers day in the garden. On opening the bottle I was delighted with a beautiful aroma of fresh black fruits and cigar box notes. Complex and enchanting. It wasn't the turbo charged blockbuster I was expecting from this wine. The emphasis seemed more on elegance and finesse than power. It rolled over the palate. Creating and developing to one of the most enjoyable wines I have tasted this summer. Will I buy another bottle at this price .......

The nose has a clarity of pleasurable dark fruits with a bit of pepper on it. An active flavour would go down well with a bit of steak. Plenty of dark brambly fruits with spicy notes. A fairly simple wine but a good one. Good value at this price.

Quite an interesting wine. Given as a gift from a family in the region. Cab Franc and Pinot Noir blend. Cab francs not my favourite grape. I expected this little chappy to be a bit flabby and lacking in definition. On the nose the pinot noir bouquet pulled forth with surprisingly nice hints of cherry with slightly rustic barnyard aromas. On tasting a smooth, silky drop that settles well on the mid palate. Bright fruit flavours that made for an enjoyable and interesting drink.

Over oaked. Some dark fruits but overpowered by strong vanilla oaky flavours. Not unpleasant on the plate, drinkable in relatively small quantities.

A pleasant wine with a variety of distinctive flavours. Full nose of well made red wine. Dark fruits with hints of tobacco. Will approach again in a couple of years time when the tannins have softened a little.
