It smells of black currant, plum, coffee, oak spice, cedar, licorice and slightly herbaceous. The flavors are incredibly deep, penetrating and last very long in the mouth but manages to stay light on its feet with well judged acid. Tannins are super fine and well integrated. While this is very good today, it will only get better. |

It smells of dried flowers, perfumed ripe dark cherry, sage, sweet tobacco and a slight earthiness. Medium to medium plus body, fruit is very well contained and not over exuberant. You can tell that this is from a riper vintage due to the profile of fruit but there is enough acidity and a grippy fine grained tannin structure keeping things in check. Give this some air and enjoy with food as the tannic structure still stands out a bit today, otherwise, there is very good potential for this elegant and well proportioned Sangiovese. Excellent QPR at 50USD. |

Perfumed ripe red cherries and plum on the nose, camphor, violets, mentholated herbs and leather, it finishes with a sweet spice character. Texture is so elegant and attractive, medium plus body. The tannins on this wine is very fine grained and well integrated. The minerality in this wine comes through on the very long finish. Slightly alcoholic as you can feel the warmth in your throat. The riper style wine is showing very well today after one hour in the decanter but has the potential to develop further. Give it a couple more years. |

More opulent and forward than the previous vintages, no reason to wait to open a bottle. |
