Pale colored with a hint of green. Nose of green apples. Taste is on the creamy side rather than the sharp acidic one. Lots of green apple on the finish.

This may be the best white Rhone blend I have tasted this year, certainly from Washington. Musk melon and vanilla aromas. Lush with enough acidity. Citrus, floral, and mineral.

Yellow hued without much nose. Taste has a rich feel with lemon curd at the outset but moving into apricot and honey on the quite long finish. Very tasty

52% Roussanne
Fermented and aged lees in neutral French oak for 6 months.
Melon, pear, and vanilla on nose. Smooth in the mouth, good acidity with structure. Lemon grass, greenery and floral hints with a sweetish soft finish. Good with fish.

Could use some age, but not bad, just young. 50% Cabernet Sauvignon
16.6% Cabernet Franc
16.6% Merlot
16.6% Malbec

Fermented in stainless steel then barrel aged for 21 months in 40% new French oak and 60% second-use French oak from select cooperages.

Wine spent 23 mos in 50% new and 50% once-used French Oak​ from selected cooperages.

2016 was very warm spring and early onset of summer followed by a temperate fall season. The cooler temperatures in August and September slowed ripening and extended “hang time” to slow the maturity of the grapes. The result was the longest harvest on record in Washington State (mid-August through mid-November). Overall, favorable growing conditions that produced wines with ripeness, balance and opulence.​

Color is deep garnet. Blackberries, rosemary, vanilla, black pepper and violets on the nose and on the palate. Full-bodied with nice mouth feel and supple tannins. A little acidity on the long finish.

40% Cabernet Sauvignon
40% Cabernet Franc
20% Merlot

Two years in 24 50% new and 50% once-used French barrels

Deep ruby color. Aromas of blueberries, rosemary, chocolate, vanilla, tobacco, black pepper, leather and a little violet. Soft but pronounced tannins and a long finish. Complex and layered. I would like to try aging this one and see what happens.

54% Viognier, 46% Roussanne

Fermented in stainless steel, followed by partial malolactic fermentation and finished in neutral French oak for 6 months, then filtered.

Rhône-style white with pale gold color. Very aromatic, honeysuckle, apple blossom and a bit of vanilla. Very smooth but a little strong on the acidity. Soft finish.

Better with some air. Blackberry, black cherry, cedar, plum, earth, and flowers on the nose. Tart cherry, plum, black cherry, earth, and a bit of oak on the palate. Tart, bracing acidity, still pretty firm and grainy tannins, medium finish. Delicious. This is pretty big, tart, oakier than it should be, and still pretty tannic...but it's a pretty fun wine and if I recall correctly, a pretty great value too.

Popped and poured. Clear, bright rainier cherry color. Nose of white peppercorns, Italian plums and cumin. Flavors of ripe raspberry. Wine is soft up front with more acid hitting the back of the tongue. First half hour was best, then the finish got a bit disjointed as the wine was exposed to more air.

Popped and poured. This vintage is finally starting to come into it's own. The mid palate is beginning to gain some weight and the greener tannin structure has mellowed. Nose of Rainier cherry, ripe strawberry and grilled bell pepper. Palate has Italian plum, a hint of barrel toast and some leafiness (from the cool vintage). Good acid. Shorter finish. Would purchase again.

Well balanced, but still young - tannins need more time to integrate. Flavors of dark fruit and cola. Should be good in 3 -5 years.

Popped and poured. Exceeded all expectations. Amazing what can happen when you don't get in the way of a great vintage. Most balanced wine I've made so far. Spice and plum on both the nose and palate. Mouth feel is silky. Decent finish.
