Medium to full-bodied, glycerin nuances with caramel; the 14.4% alcohol does not stand out. There is plenty of caramel, but no distinctive fruit initially, but when it warms up, there are strong tannins and a ‘shadowy’ nuance over the raspberry and strawberry fruit. Finish of sweet berry fruits and the alcohol finally comes up. Goes well with fillet of sockeye, spinach with a large “garnish” of bacon and duchesse potatoes. We opened it at 6:00 and it finally opened up around 8pm, next time we will open it much earlier! 91/100 |
