Nicely done napa blend. Love to see almost 1/3 cab franc. Going to get better with time, in my opinion.

Appearance: Medium straw color

Nose: Apple, pear, vanilla cream, light oak

Palate: Yellow apple, pear, cream, vanilla and light butter. Medium acidity and medium finish

Excellent Chardonnay very balanced from a high quality vineyard site. Decent QPR this is better than some California Chardonnays that sell for double the price. Plan on adding a some more to the cellar.

Medium straw in the glass. Nose of pear, green apple, and lemon peel. Bright, crisp, and focused with light yeasty notes. Loads of tiny bubbles that dance across your palate leaving soft nuttiness in their wake. Zippy and refreshing, this champagne is a winner! Paired with king crab legs, pan seared ribeye, and sautéed vegetables.

Light Pinot easy drinker. Cherry cola and some oak. Nothing special going on but certainly a wine that can be enjoyed with food or by itself.

Wine has finally come around. Much more balanced, not overly acidic or sour. Medium-light weight, good red fruits. Did not expect that a pinot needed that much time to mature.

Yummy Sonoma Chardonnay with lots of minerality, tart but restrained citrus fruit, nice viscosity. Very enjoyable, most will want to pair with food.

2019 Peter Paul Wines Pinot Noir Mille Freres

Sonoma Coast more

8/11/2022 - winenot519 Likes this wine: 93 points

Pale ruby in the glass. Low viscosity, sporadic legs, and purple hue around the rim. Red and black fruit jump out of the glass, cherry, raspberry, and plum. Ample spice aromas of clove and anise are suggestive of Chinese five spice. The elegant texture completely masks the 14.5% alcohol. Palate is soft on entry and builds through the palate. Raspberry gives way to plum and herbs and crescendos with robust baking spice and traces of vanilla. Finish is soft, smooth, and refuses to dissipate. An impressive, velvety, and seductive Pinot!!

Deep ruby with purple hue. Aromas of dark fruits, blackberry and blueberry pie. Ample spice and lightly bitter. Oak notes of mocha and caramel. Palate is dry with firm tannins and nice acidity. Paired with pan seared NY strip, sautéed mushrooms, and herb roasted creamer potatoes.

Bright red fruit. Light-medium body. Refreshing acidity. Might be a little pricey at $35 from total wine. But with a discount it's surely quaffable and enjoyable. Fills out a little with some air. Warm baking spice on the finish. Good with a cheese platter or sushi.

Light to medium bodied from Sonoma coast, fruit forward and simple and delicious. On the mid-palate you get cherry, berries and vanilla. Finished off with supple tannins. A bit different than the traditional Pinot noir but worth trying it out, especially with salad, fresh cheese, desserts or simply enjoy it by itself.

My last bottle of a case purchased upon release. Two hour slow ox. Drank perfect like all the other bottles. Cassis, blueberry, easy oak, subtle spice. This can still go another year or two. Goodbye old friend.

Not quite as juicy/jammy as your typical Napa cab. Fairly bold fruit on the fore of the palate, but the oaky, menthol, herbaceous notes come off a little bit stronger. I like that. Some people who prefer very fruit forward wines might not enjoy this as much.

Medium ruby color with slow legs. Tobacco, cedar and black cherry on the nose. Cranberry, red currant and plum on the palate. Somewhat of an angular finish otherwise would have rated higher.

This medium ruby-colored wine offers a moderately intense nose of dried cherries, pickling spice, black tea, rose petals and cocoa. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic, softly oaked and with well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.5%), it delivers flavors that mirror the aromas, supporting them with medium-weight, silky-textured tannins. Solid in the middle and medium in length on the back end, this is a well-crafted Pinot that should be at its best over the next 2-3 years. Drink now-2024.

2016 Peter Paul Wines Pinot Noir Mille Freres

5/14/2021 - jdshinn Likes this wine: 93 points

The 2016 Mille Frere is in it's prime. Tons of Black Berry and Bing Cherry, with some dirt (or better yet Beet) thrown in to give a little bit of old world savory character to the wine. Bottom line delicious.
