Very nice port style desert wine, still fresh, tastes great !!
Perfect short cork, easily removed. Consumed over one week. Dark purple color with minor oxidation with good clarity. Arromas of blackberry and raspberry framboise. Sweet flavors of Marion berry and black currant. An age worthy desert treat. I still have two bottles remaining in my cellar and will open one next year to validate this tasting note. Great Lodi fruit and excellent winemaking by Tim Borges.

The wine looks ruby colored. There is no sediment in the bottle. The body is full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium.

Rich dessert wine. Thick and sweet. The wine has a lot of fruit--pomegranate without the astringency.

Purchased at the Portalupi Tasting Room in 2009, cellared at my home since. Nose: Medium expressiveness, dryed raisins, clove, and black cherry. Palate: Full bodied, sweet red fruit attack, surprising amount of acid appears through the mid-palate, the fortifying alcohol stays in check until the back-end when it joins the sweet fruit through a lengthy finish. The end result is a pretty delicious dessert wine that has held up nicely over 11 years and should continue to do so for a good bit longer.

Not a whole lot to this. I think it was helped by the chocolate based dessert, but after that was finished, this wine just tasted sweet, without much other nuance.

Rich and decadent. Sweet dark cherry and cocoa. Viscous and mouth coating.
