But quickly ferocious acidity rips through the palate, and all everything just described in eclipsed. Seems like last bottle was bum, because this wine flat out delicious. This wine is in fact powerful. But be careful the cork stank so it may be hit-or-miss. 8%EtOH. |

3/2/2023 - pinoteer Likes this wine: 92 pointsBeautiful deep golden color. Lime, bruised pineapple, mango, salt air, and just-right acidity playing off the sweetness. I've really enjoyed these bottles, but this one seems to be just a touch better, so I'm inclined to go 92 rather than 90-91. While I think that the wine can probably improve still, I've experienced many bad corks from this producer (across several vintages and vineyards) leading to wine oxidation. So, I will probably consume my remaining bottles in the near term. |

2/26/2023 - Wine Diplomats Likes this wine: 90 pointsMedium intensity nose with white fruit, some flinty minerality and petrol. The palate is more off-dry for my palate despite being a Kabinett. Probably a result of the warm vintage. Apple and pear fruit. Lower acid than most perhaps due to age and vintage. Don't find it oxidized like some cellartracker comments say, so should continue to go longer but not as long as some with the slightly lower acid Do you find this review helpful?
