2007 Gibbston Valley Pinot NoirCentral Otago more |
Wine Library TV, Gary VaynerchukFuture of Wine Tasting, Episode #759 (10/26/2009) Pinot Noir - New Zealand. #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-bacon meets bubble gum; PALATE-getting a greenness; avocado skin; like an imaginary blend of Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc from the Loire Valley because it has so much of a soil component; bacon; ripe sour cherry; it's very complex; green and earth to the nth degree; probably the most Burgundian styled Central Otago Pinot I've ever had; many won't like this, but this is right my ally; some bitter tannins; should cellar this for 3-7 years; GV-91+ 91+ points |
