Shiraz - Australia. #2; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-dark; NOSE-tons of fruit; explosive; but the Oak monster is looming; vanilla cream & wood; black cherry soda; TASTE-I'm completely dumbfounded by the way this wine tastes; this tastes the same (an over-oaked fruit bomb) as quite a few $20-$40; too over-oaked and too much fruit; this wine is living on it's name; Penfolds needs to redefine their terroir IMHO; WS-94; GV-89 89 points |

Toscana Iqt. #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-beautiful; eucalyptus / mint component; heavy black licorice (Ricola); TASTE-big firm tannins; great structure; love the black fruit coming through (Plum skin); brick dust; licorice; exceptionally intense; big & bold flavors; tons of fruit; very well made; great dark tannins; dark chocolate coming through on the back-end; this is a very seductive wine; I really like this; brings ENORMOUS thunder; great structure; great classic and subtle earth and dust components; explosively elegant; far superior to the last 4 vintages; will evolve nicely over the next 10-12 years; AG-93; GV-93 93 points |
