5/1/2018 - octopussy Likes this wine: 94 pointsMedium pale yellow color. Incredibly spicy nose with Kumquat, orange blossom, coriander, ginger and preserved lemon, rather restrained than full-blown. In the mouth, this is quite close to perfect, it first suggests some sweetness, but quickly turns the corner to a fully dry mouthfeel, great grip and texture, dense and tight like a block of granite, but juicy with harmonic acidity, complex, silky and lemony in the finish, which also boasts some fine bitter notes. Really, really great. |

6/9/2013 - octopussy Likes this wine: 92 pointsBrass colour. Lots of dried flowers in the nose, candied lemon, five spice mix. Very opulent in the mouth, low acidity, still sufficient tension. Much better than Cuvée Théo. |

6/9/2013 - octopussy wrote: 87 pointsLight golden yellow. Rose petals, banana juice and oriental spices in the nose. Agreeable, but a bit murky. Oily texture in the mouth, quite sweet, a bit murky as well. Not my cup of tea. |

6/9/2013 - octopussy Likes this wine: 95 pointsMedium yellow. Elegant and opulent in the nose with honey, ripe peach and apple, a bit of lemon peel. Fresh acidity in the mouth that makes the gives the wine a dryish mouthfeel, very bright peachy notes. Absolutely great. |

6/9/2013 - octopussy Likes this wine: 91 pointsLight yellow with green reflexes. Elegant and balanced in the nose, old-school Alsace Riesling with ripe yellow apple, white peach and a certain spiciness. Well structured in the mouth, much more structured than the basic GC Schlossberg, fine acidity, elegant and silky. Very good. |

6/9/2013 - octopussy Likes this wine: 88 pointsLight yellow, grapefruit and lemon in the nose, barely ripe apple. On the palate, it's fresh with quite strong acidity. Good and in my view typical for Schlossberg, but I found previous vintages such as 2008 or 2010 a bit brighter. |

1/7/2013 - octopussy Likes this wine: 94 pointsLight golden yellow. In the nose, hints of botrytis, forest honey, Papaya and Mango, both fresh and dried. On the palate, it's extremely juicy with fine minerality, very fine acidity, hardly noticeable fruity sweetness and a wonderfully adstringend finish with hints of lemon marmelade. Potential for real greatness. Wait. |

1/7/2013 - octopussy Likes this wine: 90 pointsLight yellow. In the nose very transparent in its aromas. Many elements, no complete picture. Some honey, a tough of botrytis maybe? Exotic fruit, candied pineapple, dried Mango, drowned in freshly squeezed lemon juice. On the palate, this is stony and not very generous. Gains with temperature and air. This would be tremendous if there was not a cutting acidity that stands next to all other elements. However, that should integrate with more bottle age. Could be great in five or six years time. |

1/7/2013 - octopussy Likes this wine: 94 pointsMid golden yellow, oily texture. In the nose, there's salty lemon, candied mango, pineapple, honey, fine botrytis and lots of spicy aromas: pain d'épices and the smell of a christmas market. Beautiful. On the palate, it's oily, not too sweet, rather fresh, fresher than the nose made you think. Fine acidity, long finish. Yet: way too young. Lots of potential. |
