The wine was a bit reticent on the nose at first, exhibiting aged stewed plum but began to develop an iodine, saffron infused bacon nose that screamed Rhone. The mouthfeel was nice with a goo finish but the fruit felt a bit reliquary. It was a wine I kept putting my nose into. Very interesting, not something I'd peg as Cali in any way. Drink up! |
