Good, def worth trying at just $18. The bubbles, at this point, are kind of in that range between Spumante and Frizzante; softer, etc. Pale straw color, decent sense of grape and place. Avg complexity and finish, dry, and a proper aperitivo wine for a casual night with friends. 12.0% abv. Drink now. recommended

First glass, no decant.

It's a deep violet in the glass with lovely caustics when swirled, and shows few legs that take time to develop.

It has a peppery nose in three ways: cracked black peppercorn, smoky jalapeño, & grilled green bell. There are some indistinct frutti di bosco notes and a slight loaminess in there as well.

The moderate pyrazine and dark berry palate is smooooth, round, and has a nice acidic uplift with a slight sheen of grounding tannins punctuated by an arpeggio of black pepper at the end.

This is easy drinking and should go well with our dinner of pasta all'Amatriciana.

EDIT
(Narrator)
It did indeed go well with dinner, and the pepper and berry notes only strengthened and gained clarity over time.

I can drink this anytime. This is a beautiful wine: smooth, light with a slight oiliness that coats the tongue softly with lingering flavor. Bravo! Alla nostra salute!

70% Malvasia, 30% Friulano. Fairly muted nose with pear, melon, herbs, vanilla. Surprisingly high acidity (for Malvasia). Lots of herbs and salty minerality on the palate. Finishes a little harshly.

Not bad for $10, nothing juts out even though it lacks breadth and complexity and has a shortish finish, the grape gives a lot of character on its own, especially on the nose. Would consider a repurchase.

A bit Sauvignon Blanc-like.... Nose is pear, honey, herbal. Palate is citrus, herbal, minerality. Pretty high acidity for a Malvasia. A little flabby in mid-palate. Medium+ finish, with acidity, minerality, citrus and herbs lingering. The finish saves it from being pretty so-so.

Clear red. Very pleasant light fruitiness. Seems to not be structured to take on much bottle age, but certainly a very tasty weeknight bottle.

For the money ($11) it was great. Drank it with pizza. Decanted for 2 hours. A little spice mixed with dark currant (a/k/a cola). The wine is by no means dry and with my first sip I thought it might be too fruity and lacking body. That proved to be wrong. Nice wine.

I adore almost all Fruiliano, but for 11 dollars this one is an utter no-brainer. Refreshing and crisp, with a lovely nutty note to the nose. Buy in bulk, that's my advice.

Very pleasant: the magical climat of northeastern Italy. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot in equal measure. Medium body. Gorgeous ripe red fruits with traces of linseed, leather, all-spice, scorched earth, and the faintest whiff of barnyard. Rich texture. Soft tannins. Finishes long. 12.5% abv. QPR: $16.99. Would buy again.

Simple and certainly inoffensive, one could do a whole lot worse for $12 a liter. I don't think anyone's going to find this wine memorable but it isn't going to disgust anyone either. Not a lot of aroma here. Citrussy with a bit of bitterness on the short finish. Full marks for candor as the producer describes using enzymes during fermentation, and I don't know of anyone else who admits that. This satisfied an unfussy group that was focused on food and conversation; even at home on a weeknight, though, I look for a bit more substance than this offered.

Very nice pairing with spicy food. Stay away with anything fatty like cream based soups, pastas, etc. as this brings out a complete contrast and does neither the wine nor the food any justice.
