8/10/2023 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRGood, def worth trying at just $18. The bubbles, at this point, are kind of in that range between Spumante and Frizzante; softer, etc. Pale straw color, decent sense of grape and place. Avg complexity and finish, dry, and a proper aperitivo wine for a casual night with friends. 12.0% abv. Drink now. recommended |

5/17/2016 - budh wrote: 88 points70% Malvasia, 30% Friulano. Fairly muted nose with pear, melon, herbs, vanilla. Surprisingly high acidity (for Malvasia). Lots of herbs and salty minerality on the palate. Finishes a little harshly. |

10/31/2014 - budh wrote: 88 pointsA bit Sauvignon Blanc-like.... Nose is pear, honey, herbal. Palate is citrus, herbal, minerality. Pretty high acidity for a Malvasia. A little flabby in mid-palate. Medium+ finish, with acidity, minerality, citrus and herbs lingering. The finish saves it from being pretty so-so. |

The wine is by no means dry and with my first sip I thought it might be too fruity and lacking body. That proved to be wrong. Nice wine. |

3/4/2013 - NewFrenchClaret Likes this wine: 90 pointsI adore almost all Fruiliano, but for 11 dollars this one is an utter no-brainer. Refreshing and crisp, with a lovely nutty note to the nose. Buy in bulk, that's my advice. |

1/24/2013 - buffyst Likes this wine: 88 pointsVery pleasant: the magical climat of northeastern Italy. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot in equal measure. Medium body. Gorgeous ripe red fruits with traces of linseed, leather, all-spice, scorched earth, and the faintest whiff of barnyard. Rich texture. Soft tannins. Finishes long. 12.5% abv. QPR: $16.99. Would buy again. |

12/29/2012 - slanum wrote: NRSimple and certainly inoffensive, one could do a whole lot worse for $12 a liter. I don't think anyone's going to find this wine memorable but it isn't going to disgust anyone either. Not a lot of aroma here. Citrussy with a bit of bitterness on the short finish. Full marks for candor as the producer describes using enzymes during fermentation, and I don't know of anyone else who admits that. This satisfied an unfussy group that was focused on food and conversation; even at home on a weeknight, though, I look for a bit more substance than this offered. |
