4/13/2024 - viniferatu Likes this wine: NRAromas of melon, green pear, white peach, citrus pith, beeswax, a little oak spice... full and silky on the palate, buried acidity, subtle bitterness, lots of mystery here, the finish really lingers, salty, citrusy, herbal.... it doesn't really feel like it's gonna go the distance, but it does feel like it needs a little more time to flesh out... needs food to show its best, I should think many a simple seafood dish would be ideal. |

4/13/2024 - viniferatu Likes this wine: NRAromas of melon, raw squash, white peach, spring flowers, a little fennel and sea air... soft and round, salty and subtly herbal, nice melon and stone fruit nuance, decent acidity to keep it fresh, but overall a bit diffuse and unfocused. Finish is salty and crisp, easy crunchy fruit keeps it friendly, a little citrus brings some refreshing acidity as everything fades. I would drink this on the sooner side, like this year and the next. Might be worth following longer, but I don't think so... |

3/27/2024 - Xavier Auerbach wrote: 92 pointsA private lunch (Restaurant Wils Bakery, Amsterdam, NL): From the eponymous vineyard on a cliff overlooking the Med. A blend of 60% old-vine Marsanne and Ugni Blanc, Bourboulenc and Clairette. Fresh and minerally nose, lemon curd and sea breeze, delicately smoky; lovely ‘gras’ on the palate, ripe and soft but fresh, energetic bitters; dry and appetising finish with good length. Lovely stuff. |

3/12/2024 - Devlon Moore Likes this wine: NRLike everything from this estate, a wonderfully complex and enjoyable wine. The nose is all citrus fruit and pith and the palate is clean and refreshing and leaves you salivating. Usually I shy away from wines raised in amphora as it seems to create textural monotony but this wine manages to be rounded and have wonderful grip and cut all at the same time. Drink it now or hold it. It will live for sometime. I paid $38.04 for it and its worth every penny. |

2/27/2024 - valecnik wrote: 88 pointsA mélange of citrus, red berries, and stone fruits. Rather enticing just for the fruit, but rather lacks standout character. Fairly tangy acidity, but overall made of mostly soft edges and needs more spine, more definition. Perfectly passable, but not outstanding. |

12/14/2023 - valecnik wrote: 87 pointsDelicate and complex nose of clean linen, herb, flowers, and mandarin orange. The palate is a little washed out, however. I adore Vermentino for it's waxy/salty notes and hints of almond, but this one is more citrus-forward than anything and doesn't deliver all the layers I crave. Solid but unremarkable. |

9/24/2023 - MuddyBoots wrote: NRHerbal and saline notes and ripe orchard fruits. Fairly subdued aromatics. This evening i found this just a little lacking in acidic thrust. Has real breadth to it on the palate. Some early complexity now. Touch of garrigue / bitterness on the back end. A broad wine of real character but a wine clearly intended for the table. A nice change from all the high acid wine I usually reach for and with enough salinity to maintain some tension. Strongly resonates of the Mediterranean for me. I would wait a year or two longer. Perfect wine for a fish dish that needs some weight to the wine. |

The benefit is not being in a silly-shaped bottle and being $5 less expensive. Also, at a year younger, I expect some development in the bottle forthcoming. |

8/1/2023 - JonBarnes1 Likes this wine: NRLove this especially the surprisingly bitter and chewy finish - no need to go higher grade from this domaine w/r/t its whites, IMO. Agree with the tropical fruit and banana comments. |
