12/6/2023 - SawgrassSteve Likes this wine: 92 pointsWhat a marvelous blend; 78% Cab, 9% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot, 5% Malbec, 2% Cab Franc. There's a lot of power 10 years later. I decanted for 30 minutes, took a sip and it was good to go. Lots of complexity in this Marlstone and a decent finish. I purchased recently through Wine Heist(damaged label, ...so what?) and was elated to procure sub $30. If you can find this, it's well worth the $$ |

11/8/2023 - PaulWilson00 wrote: 86 pointsI previously tried this same vintage and thought it had a strong butterscotch flavor and a creamy mouth feel. This bottle tasted much less like butterscotch and was far more acidic. The label describes it as buttery. It's there, but I had to search for it on the finish. This bottle was dominated by sweet fruits and smells of bubblegum. |

10/17/2023 - SawgrassSteve Likes this wine: 92 pointsOne of those wines you buy and cellar. I opened this one and WOW! Wish I bought a case, not six. This has a beautiful nose of fruits, floral. The wine has really come into its own with a complex taste of dark fruits, cocoa and a slight taste of oak. It's very silky and easy to sip. A lovely finish with medium acidity. Great QPR, I see the value has sky rocketed and rightly so. Cheers my blend friends ❤️ |

10/17/2023 - cupoverflowing1 Likes this wine: 93 pointsremarkably consistent over the years and this wine is/continues to be just outstanding for the price point... getting better with age and better than many wines I have had for 2-3x the price and improving; an easy 10+ years of life left ... really hate it they shut it down. note: much much better at cold-cool (45-60 degrees), and drastically degrades/mutes when warm |

9/14/2023 - caesar77 wrote: 85 pointsDid not take proper notes. This wine is as advertised: rich, buttery, strong oak (not just the typical vanilla notes that it typically imparts). Its just not what my palate is tuned for and I didn't enjoy it. It did not have sufficient acid to work well with food...this is a wine that wants to be the star of the show. |

1/23/2018 - Mike Kopanski wrote: 85 pointsWhen first opened and tasted we thought it was a little too sweet, with an almost candy nose. Opened something and let it sit overnight. Happily, it gained some credibility and complexity, sort of lost its baby fat. Still a value priced, basically simple one dimensional red wine that is fruit first. Admittedly, it shows some typical though minimal Cabernet indicative green garden influence, loads of fruit and very mild tannins. Relatively mild red fruit finish. |

8/10/2023 - Mike Kopanski wrote: 83 pointsNoticeable spritz on the glass. First sip has an unusual caramel, cinnamon stick, lanolin, almost soapy taste. Very golden color. More caramel on the nose. The malolactic has tamed the acid. Once we get past the caramel, there is some guava, apple and lemon zest fruit. Quite full, Chardonnay like enhanced viscosity. Pretty short finish. Generally unique in a not quite welcome way. Must be enjoyed chilled. The fruit profile is almost that of an unoaked Chardonnay. Once it warms, all you get is oak and something chemical. There is some apple and honey on the palate. |

8/5/2023 - Achromat Likes this wine: 82 pointsThis is a somewhat awkward wine with a conflicting butter /oak combination. The minimal fruit is over powered by its more rustic components. Slight candied pineapple notes but not much else. 14+ % ABV. It is affordable though. |

7/31/2023 - Jchomel Likes this wine: 92 pointsGarnet almost rusty in color. So many thoughts on this one. It is changing by the minute. First jammy and fruity, then mellow, now getting a little less interesting at about 40 minutes from uncorking. It may be going fast as it doesn’t have any tannins left. Better drink up! Perfect cork and removal. Really nice find. |
