The bubbles didn’t impress me compared to a good Champagne, but I’m hardly a connoisseur of sparkling wine, so I don’t feel qualified to comment on the “bead” or anything like that. However, a very nice little sparkling wine with Pinot Blanc tropicals. |

The spice notes continue on the mid-palate with gentle acidity, and lingers on the finish, with very good length. |

Fresh and lively on the nose with just a touch of development- mostly lime and citrus with some petrol. On the palate it’s ripe and round with cantaloupe, lime, mineral and light petrol. The finish is long with petrol (very light), lime, lemon, melon and mineral. Altogether a very pleasant example of what Riesling is all about. Drink now and over the next couple of years. |

There is an orange barely/barley sugar element. The entry is fresh with vibrant acidity, clear as a bell and no real botrytis noted. Focussed and that bright, continental climate expression giving clarity, the wine didn’t seem overly complex and relatively simple yet approachable. Medium length, the wine was all about the aromas and less exciting on the palate. Concentrated fun. |
