Palate showed lots of clean, ultra-smooth spirit, with mild flavours of dark chocolate, banana liqueur, raisin, and PX sherry. Silky mouthfeel: light, syrupy sweetness balanced by bright acidity and polished, woody tannin. Most of the fruit has faded with age, highlighting the spirit, which is delightfully clean and smooth. |

1/13/2023 - O477 Likes this wine: 88 pointsExtra points for value at under $12 from the Vinyard. This label was meant for China until they decided they didn't like our politics. Better than most other wines asking 3 X the cabbage. Vineyard is a hidden gem a short drive north of Bendigo in an old flour mill but nothing fancy. The township is woth a visit as well. |

1/30/2015 - CharlesDarwin Likes this wine: 88 pointsUsually avoid Australians for being too brassy, but I had this at wine store tasting and was impressed. Black currant, clean oak, and a nice smooth integrated roundness. I drank the 2008 next to the 2010 and this was much softened, cleaner, and presentable. Time really helped. Brightly fruity and delicious. |
