Slightly closed on the nose initially, this opened up after about 20-30 minutes and showed a mix of dark red cherry and plum, hints of floral notes. Similar flavors on the palate with a bit of rocky minerality on the palate, almost a touch salty. Medium+ acid and tannin. Very nice wine, especially for the price paid, and I think will continue to improve in the bottle. |

Showed some definite green pepper and earthy forest floor notes on the nose with a bit of plum and black cherry but definitely more savory than fruit driven. On the palate however the fruit still comes through along with medium+ acidity and a slightly spicy but smooth finish. Pretty good length on the finish as well. Really enjoyed it. |

Most flavors carry through to the palate with a mix of red and black fruit along with earthy, savory flavors of tobacco, cedar, balsamic. Medium acidity and tannin. Smooth finish. I would say this is likely at or just slightly past peak for me as the wine drank a touch soft on and I don't think has the structure for extended aging but should hold nicely for the short term. Great bottle of wine. |

Delicious bottle of wine and much better than expected. |

Similar flavors on the palate with loads of dried and slightly baked cherry flavors, baking spices and cigar box / tobacco notes. Medium+ acidity and tannin. Plenty of structure but well balanced and finishes long. Have had a few bottles of the 08 vintage of this wine and the 07 is far superior. Fantastic bottle of aged Barolo and drinking great at the moment. |
