Heidi Barrett killing it like always for the long term. Most zone I’ve had at the 20 year mark start to turn into a port like style. Not this zin, can’t wait to compare to the 2000 and 2001 in the vertical I have. |

Beautiful fruit forward on the nose followed with an incredible first taste. The tannins are strong with this one as it is a 14.6% wine. Lovely cherries and currants. Drink now and maybe over the next 5 yrs !!! |

The nose is barely aged with slight hint of smoke. Opened for 2 hrs now and it is like pure candy!!! Lush and bold with well balanced tannins. At first taste is acid and fruit forward with it developing on the back of the palate. The fruit is rich, solid acid that is balanced and very smooth. Drinks very well, classic 90’s Napa @ heart !!!! |

10/31/2018 - HowellTime Does not like this wine: 87 pointsI had much higher expectations for this wine. Been recently to the BV winery and did the Latour tasting and had the pleasure of trying many of the latour’s along with a bunch of the Maestro collection wines. But for the life of me I do not remember any of the wines ever being near or over 15%. Now I do enjoy many high test Napa vinos, but for this one it is just to much. The heat from the alcohol blinds the classic Rutherford dust. Plus the one bottle I acquired had a ton of sediment and for a 2013 just seems to be a bit much. |

Too much oak like it was injected with aged French oak, very unnatural. Aromatics do not bring anything to the table either. Will not purchase again and plan on send Faust a letter of disappointment, good day !!! |
