This wine was balanced right out of the bottle.
A well worn leather horse sadle meets a blackberry pie filling. With tannis that bring out the classy and conservative side. This wine is perfect.

Tree bark, light pepper taste and sour cherry flavour.
In general, probably should decant longer.
Still an xclnt choice

Smooth and velvety from the mouth and down the throat.
This vineyard is exceptional. Not one Chardonnay they produce am i disappointed in and the merlots are outstanding

Over an hour decant and i was disappointed. It just seemed like the train never reached the station. The wine had a beautiful start, not to fruit forward with a little plum, raisen and forest. But never any tannin grip. It seemed to be creeping slowly to the station but in my opinion will never get there.
Maybe a longer decant was in order.
However i also drank a 2013 not to long ago and found the same issue going on. It just never quite balances

Deep garnet colour, juicy ripe red and black fruit at opening.
Smooth and silky tanins from the front to back of the palate. Perfectly balanced, full bodied and delicious.
This win at any vintage never disappoints.

Needed a good hour decant. Cherry and strawberry was the start. Within 30 minutes after the hour decant the wine started to come together with all aspects of flavour, texture and smell.some deep berry.
Very distinctive okanagan taste and smell.
In my opinion it can stay asleep for a year or two and still be spectacular.

We had a short decant window of 40 minutes which wasn’t enough for this beauty.
Stringent tannin, still taste the beautiful fruit from the merlot grape. Nicely structured. The balance was in the wine but it really needed a longer decant.
We had the wine with a great friend.
Should be drank with a great steak.

Strawberry, cherry liquorice. Came out of the bottle ready to drink so in my opinion it is at its “ready to drink” stage of wine life.
Thoughout the bottle the flavour changed slightly and some mild tannins kicked in. We had to squeeze the decanter for the last drop.

medium plus body with aromas of raspberries, black plum, blackberries.
really juicy.
some dark chocolate. some dried herbs and coffeebean.
Our first experience with Duckhorn and are very impressed. full and pleasant mouth feel.
will look for more to purchase.

stong alcohol on opening that lingerred for about 10 minutes. First sip, cherry and sour tannins.
the wine evolved quickly and beacame a very nice bottle of wine. It seemed to fade a bit at the end of the bottle ( around hour and half). But in general very good value wine.

xclnt california cab. this producer has it all dialed in.
deep violet colour, some slight chunky residue on the decant pour. 40 minute decant gave to the flavours of deep black fruit, a little hint of spice and casis.A real stunna.
Highly recommend this winery and this wine.

smell of yeast on the opening, taste of very sour cherry on the palate. definate smell of tobbaco, interesting almosgt like pipe tobacco but not sweet enough.
I find washington state cab sav's to be not as flavourful as the california and to be lighter bodied. just my observation..., means nothing really.
Dark chocolate flavour are evident after half hour or so decant and some very tasty licorice accents.
we are warming up to the wine very much. becoming very smooth.
seems to begetting a lot fuller bodied over time.Recommend

this wine was very light body, stringent and shallow, at first. full 1 hour decant started to show some amazing results. lots of cherry flavour but still light to meduim body.
In all a great wine after an hour or more decant

from opening light to medium alcohol, light fruit as well. first sip right after decant. crabapple, plums and prune.
however well noted on the first sip thst you are in for decanted treat in 45 minutes.
45 minutes..., something dark, deep and flavourful but we could not put a word to it.
lots of cassis, very rich, blackberry.
so smooth and came together like a pro.
wonderful wine.
