11/25/2022 - Lable2 Likes this wine: 95 pointsTested with a small sample before serving, this wine showed plenty of somewhat austere tannins and hard acidic taste, but lots of fruit. Decanted for four (4) hours. The bouquet is phenomenal with dark berries (blackberries) jumping up from the glas. Tasting shows wonderfull soft tannins, fine balancing acid and more of the dark berries. Great taste and complexity. Long sweet aftertaste make this wine a wonderfull experience. This wine still has good potential for a longer life. |

Smooth with good acid and still has powerfull chewy tannins that has mellowed perfectly with age. Aromas of leather, wood, smoke, dark berries and a hint of mocca. Aftertaste with a slight acidic bite and a miniscule amount of bitterness. A slight mouth warming sensation reveal the heat of high alcohol content, but that goes well to cleanse the mouth of the fat on a good steak. No decant is necessary at this time of it’s life. It has probably reached past the middle of it optimum drinking window, but still has a couple of good years left. |

Taste of Dark berries, black berries, black currants, smoke, sour dark cherries. Quite high acid and tannins, but smooth tannins and complex taste. Aftertaste has good length and tannins coat my mouth and teeth. It’s a powerful wine even after ten years and I think it has potential for at several years (5-15?) of further cellaring.This is a very good wine that would go well with a good steak or a beef stew. |

A very good wine. This wine show that some overseas sauvignon blanc can have a longer life than you might think. Kept in a wine fridge since I bought it years ago. |
