There’s a reason this wine is considered one of the best there is: from the first wiff, a strong, extremely rich combination of fruit, dirt, herbs, makes you go OMG! Then on taste, it just blows you away with all that, currant, chocolate, Sonny Rollins, and more. Decanted for an hour but it just kept getting better, getting smoother, richer. One hour later, a pungent nose of berries, cedar, and dirt (forest floor, minerals, etc). On taste, complex and full body with red and black berries, leather, and wood. It kept evolving over two hours and smoothed out into a med body St. Emilion - a magnificent wine. A taste on day two and I detect something like pastry and cinnamon and it has smoothed out even more. You get your money's worth from this one. |

What evolves is a wonderfully complex blend of leather, pepper, cassis, currant, black cherry, and bell pepper, with the fruit blossoming forward over the decanting time. The result is something that tastes quite like a Pichon. |
