First of 3 and wow these won’t last the year in the cellar. Terrific QPR and I can (and will) drink this all night long. Dark ruby medium to full body texture, nose opening over 2 hour decant (thanks CT members!), yielding pepper spice, black currant, and asberry. Yummy and very manageable tannins. Terrific table wine. Paired with lamb cutlets and corn.

18 months ago I said their Vacqueyras Font de Papier was just as good. It's not. This bottle has kicked into another gear. The nose is all flowers and rocks with a little sandalwood. The palate is crystaline with tremendous cut. Plenty of garrigue to go with barely ripe blackberries. A wine that doesn't pander, it relies on the taster to be worthy. I can only pray that I am.

I don't drink much Rhone, and even less Southern Rhone, but I have a smattering of bottles from Clos du Joncuas, mainly because (a) Chambers Street, who I trust, likes it; and (b) Rimmerman, who is local, imports it. Score one for both Chambers and Garagiste, because this is really, really good. It smells like Southern France. Lots of wild herbs mingling with black and red pie fruits. If you care about grip, this has it. And just a perfect match with grilled lamb burgers.

Don’t even bother unless you can decant for 2 hours. It becomes a whole different wine and you will be rewarded.

Decanted an hour but could have used two. Great balance of plum, blackberry, some pepper. It kept opening up and smoothing out over time, so tasty.
