Very fruity. Best way to drink it is in a chilled glass. I’ve had three bottles now. If anyone knows similar tasting wines please let me know.

Low neck level. Cork removed intact, with edge of the cork purple, no evidence of any seepage. Color - dark to opaque garnet. Pnp and slow ox. Nose - nice complex bouquet of plum, fig, dark fruit, earth, sweet tobacco, and spice . Palate - dark fruits, sweet tobacco, with hints of anise, mocha/coffee, and spice. Mouthfeel - medium body with medium length finish and only a bit of drying tannins on the finish. Wine is solidly in its drinking window and should be there for a few more years.

Medium straw in color, this wine offers a highly aromatic experience.

On the nose, fresh green apple and tropical fruits like pineapple and guava mingle with delicate white flowers and a hint of green pepper.

The palate reveals ripe citrus and tropical fruit flavors, with a more pronounced vegetal note. Balanced in a medium intensity body, alcohol, and acidity, it finishes long and satisfyingly.

Personally really liked this wine.

Moderate+ fragrant nose of honeysuckle and citrus on the first pour. Decanted and consumed over one hour. Moderate+ fresh flavors of honey and citrus. After 30 minutes in the decanter, this evolved into fresh lime and bright honey. Medium body. Moderate+ complexity. Very enjoyable now, but no rush with some mid term upside. 93+

Ruby with just a touch of age, slightly developed nose with cedar, lifted menthol, tobacco, florals, minerals, earthy tones. Palate is surprisingly intense driven by red fruits, salinity, and nice almost resolved tannins. Still years to go but drinking likely at peak. Very nice!

Very delish, although don't get a lot of zin character--some nice earthy berry notes, very well-balanced, juicy, well-integrated, still young. Perfect with a Burgers Never Say Die Burger.

PnP, half consumed on night one, recorked, put in the fridge, and the rest consumed four nights later. Fresh and bright, 12.5% ABV with good acidity makes this lithesome. Probably the best Frappato I've had to date.

Double decanted 375 mL bottle 1 hr prior to serving, then opened after another hour. Medium to deep ruby color.
👃🏻 linen, truffle, cherry, leather
👅 red cassis, cranberry, earth, fresh leather with 35-37 sec finish
Surprising how fresh and acidic this was, I am sure it could age far longer although was drinking quite nicely. Well balanced like all of Peschon’s wines. Finish a little shorter than some other Eisele wines I have tried, but minimally so.

Low intensity ruby hue with minimal extraction, this wine offers a subtle yet inviting visual.

The nose unfolds with medium aromatic intensity, revealing fresh red fruit alongside warm spices. A distinct beetroot or petrichor character intertwines with notes of red flowers, adding complexity.

On the palate, the red fruit takes on a ripe quality, complemented by recurring spices and floral elements. The wine strikes a balance across body, acidity, alcohol, and tannins, all falling within the medium spectrum.

At first, I wasn't sure what to make of it, a normal greenish gold, with the sea air brininess common to this grape in this location. But so much more fruit richness with almost honeycrisp over normal granny smith in flavor. The mid-palate had more body than I'm used to, but the acidity was still just as racy so it finished really clean. Great with Cioppino and the extra richness serendipitously matched the sauce better than I expected. I kept some back for later in the evening sipping and the fruit had retreated some and the minerality and brininess was dominant and my understanding of the Albarińo world order was restored.

Purplish with medium-plus intensity and medium extraction

The aromatic profile offers medium intensity, showcasing a blend of black and blue fruit character, with a ripe and somewhat dried fruit sensation. Floral notes intertwine with lactic yogurt-like nuances and spices reminiscent of licorice.

On the palate, the aromas translate seamlessly, with medium-plus acidity and alcohol contributing to a vibrant expression. The wine presents a medium body with notably high tannins, lending structure and depth. A medium finish rounds out the experience.

This wine stands as a good example of Ribera del Duero.

PnP. Under natural cork. Deep dark purple. The nose leaps from the glass, it’s spicy and black-fruited with a good dose of farmyard / gamey undertones. The palate is fresh, a bit too high in acidity but still very tasty and working well with food. Very long and hot finish.

Ruby with a slight brownish tint, medium-minus extraction.

The nose reveals medium-minus intensity, showcasing ripe red fruit with a spicy note.

On the palate, the fruit takes on a character more akin to ripe black fruit, accompanied by spicy and herbal notes.

With medium-plus acidity, medium alcohol, medium tannins, and a medium body, the wine offers a balanced profile. The finish is medium in length, completing the overall experience.

Popped and poured and enjoyed immediately, initially very chilled: success. Very savory nose where notes of iron and leather dominate and red cherry-driven fruit and floral notes take the back seat. On the palate it is very nicely textured with good volume while maintaining terrific freshness and drive. There are tannins here but they are perfectly ripe and grip just right, not taking anything away from the drinkability. The fruit on the palate is not massively intense which I quite like as it leads to a highly moreish and refreshing style. The lip-smacking finish is the cherry on the cake, this is a wonderful expression of this underappreciated variety. I can imagine it being richer in other vintages, though.

Pale straw in color, indicating freshness and youth.

The nose offers a medium intensity, with ripe citrus notes reminiscent of tangerine, alongside tropical fruit hints like pineapple, all infused with characteristic white floral aromas.

On the palate, the fruit profile takes a slightly underripe turn, showcasing citrus and ripe tropical fruit flavors. The presence of white flower notes is also detected. With medium alcohol and acidity, the wine presents a light body and a short finish.

Overall, while it lacked a bit of intensity typical of a Torrontés, the wine still delivered a good experience.

A bit confused why this has no other vintages albeit there are some till 2013.. So maybe we made an error here but for what ever it’s worth this clean and pure, soft and to the pint albeit entry level white works wells. 88

Recent library release

aging red color- still deep but now with substantial brick at the rim, after 5 hours of airing a broad and genteel nose of aged cassis with ample sous bois, hints of bell pepper, plums, iron notes throughout, on the palate my description from 2021 remains right on- "a lively plum and cherry fruit, aged and genteel yet substantial", iron notes more noticeable now as is a broader scale of forest floor, more intense pepper notes as the fruit seems now to be at the start of decline and giving way to tertiary elements, still a beauty- but yet another recent 1985 experience that suggests this most lovely and singular Bordeaux vintage is at last beginning to show its age- though happily still wearing it quite well.

****, drink soon

Pure hedonistic pleasure. This is singing right now. Intense nose of apricots, ripe nectarines, honeycomb. Lush and dense palate with dried apricots and honey, good acidity but intense sweet flavors. Long ending that lingers for quite a while. 2001 definitely a stunner - and this bottle showed better than my previous one a couple of years ago as it was more integrated and better composed. A long life ahead for this one. A crowd pleasure for sure.

Lightly if any oak here and quite a pure and firm expression and definitely out of the norm but also maintains a structure and core unlike some others that in order to stay light feel a bit fruit juicy. 89

At it’s peak. Exquisite notes of chalk, oak, oriental spice and red cherries. Indeed, a very silky, elegant style; so unlike Bonnes Mares of other producers with more extraction and firmer tannins. So inviting on every sip and so much alive with fruits. Does, perhaps not the concentration (as with a lot of 2001’s) but for those seeking grace over power; what a perfect example of Burgundy Terroir and pure silk.

Popped and pored; paired with Salisbury Steak. Nice purple color, and viscous. Nice Syrah fruit in the nose, nothing overpowering but very pure. Excellent palate, with acid perfectly playing foil to the rich fruit. Amazing how this producer makes such stellar wine from non-classified-area fruit. Yes they are more expensive than other wines from the same environs, but the quality in the bottle makes it a bargain. To me, Clape stands alone. Marvelous! 5-12-17-8: 92/100.

Bottle was in good condition. Beautiful color - looked dark and rich, appearance only I would've guessed it was from the early 2000s. Holding up well overall, still has a good amount of fruit, dark fruit, backed by classic cedar and cigar wrapper. Worth noting that it faded quickly. Best to pop n pour and drink!

Clean, neutral and we would not have guessed this as Rioja Blanco in a million years . More of an international take and albeit it works ok it’s not a typical one. Better than the average for sure. 87

Probably the least confectionery rose Prosecco we have come across and for that we will give it the thumbs up. Difficult to say more at this time of day but for sure if much better quality than the majority of its kin. 89

This thing is tart and wild but not pushed too far. Plenty of rindy citrus things and a big squeeze of grapefruit. Quite cheesy. Dry and textural.

Very dark red/purple color with a garnet hue. PNP, drank a couple glasses over 3 hours. At the Ranch for opening weekend. This has a big nose with plenty of black and a bit of blue fluit; black raspberry liqueur, plum, black cherry skin, menthol, green pepper, fresh herbs. The palate is also full bodied, well textured with plenty of glyverin, creme de cassis, black raspberry liqueur, menthol, plush with a somewhat medicinal vibe. This is layered, deep and has plenty of power while the age has also served it well. In a good spot now, though certainly no rush.
