Two hour decant, could have handled more. Excellent, deep, earthy cab. Needed some dark chocolate to pair with it.

Fantastic nose of truffle mushroom, capers, kirsch, dark chocolate ganache, and steel shavings. On the palate, it's too young and clamped down by acidity. Needs 3-5 years.

Popped and poured into a decanter about 90min prior to service. The 2013 Eclipse pours a deep ruby with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with faint staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with red and black brambles, leather, black pepper and other spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and hard to hate on. Yes, it is an enormous wine and yet, somehow balanced at 16%. To this day, the wines from Noon remain elusive. Drink now through 2028.

Absolutely nothing wrong with this, but it plays it a little too safe. The wine is a bit boring when compared to its delicious 2009 counterpart. That being said, it is pleasant, balanced, and tasty, and paired well with our charcuterie.

Special bottling from the winery (1 single barrel) with 38 months tirage. Pears and honeyed notes on the nose. Golden delicious apples on the tongue with slight hint of oxidation mid palate. Lime like finish with moderate sweetness. Very pleasant.

still perfectly intact, with ample fruit, this one was a brett bomb, but in the most perfect way with red plum and black cherry, yes the acid is low, but there still is a freshness. should be drunk on the cooler end of temperatures, about 50F.

This producer never disappoints. Already showing very nice complexity with red berries, herbs, and tobacco, all in balance and absolutely delicious. Will please both the connoisseur and casual drinkers alike.

PnP. Intoxicating nose. The winemaker absolutely nailed it with his notes of red fruits, cola, and sweet cigar. This stunner paired beautifully with our steaks. So delicious...I am an idiot for not buying more. 92-93.

Opened for 2 hours before dinner with some great rib eye steaks, beautiful nose of red fruits with lots of spices like cardamom, five spices & roast meats, in the mouth medium bodied, elegant but with sufficient complexity, drinking beautifully now
Red
Bright cherry

Medium body and acidity, a nice tannic bite to accompany pizza. Worked even better with powerful cheese

Very light in colour, almost like a natural wine in looks, nose & taste, nice red fruits of mainly cherries, dried flowers, medium bodied, approachable but needed 30 min to open up, needed more oomph on the palate though
White - Off-dry

Wow, this is absolutely spectacular right now. Still sweet, but the complexity is crazy good. Extremely oily with peach, apple, petrol, and god knows what else. I was so busy admiring it that I almost forgot to eat the food in front of me. Could easily go 94 here.

Sadly, this is my last bottle.

A two year check-in since my.last bottle. Notes after 8 hours uncorked and wow, is this tannic. But the beautiful fruit is still there behind some strong acidity, as well. This will probably be much better tomorrow, not to mention 5 years from now.

Sadly, this is nowhere near as good as the 2016 vintage that I enjoyed so much. This is slightly imbalanced toward big and powerful, and I miss the complexity from the other vintage. Still a very good wine that paired well with our mixed grill. I'll wait another year before I open another one to see if magic happens.

A perfect example of a B- wine. Easy drinking, pleasant weekday wine with absolutely no complexity. Just good, flexible, and dirt cheap at $8. Useless on day 2, turning metallic.

Bitter. Hardly any fruit. Not sure if it's the specific bottle or not.

My first thought was that grapefruit flavours had overpowered everything, but it smoothed out with fusilli and scampi and was enjoyed by all.

It’s been 5+ years since I’ve had this wine. Have to say while I still really like it, it hasn’t changed that much (and yes, I reviewed my notes before I wrote that ??). It hadn’t aged like I thought it would have over the years. Still amazing, wonderful aroma, great strength, balance, texture, and depth. Lovely Wine! I bounced it between 91 & 92 Points, it’s a solid 92 Pointer now. Curious if there’s any more aging, or growth, with it. Don’t think it has a 93 in it for me.

Acidity and yellow fruit flavours last a long time. Good w fusilli and scampi.

The wine has a pale garnet color. The tannins are fine and the wine has medium-plus acidity and medium alcohol. I get tastes of mostly red fruits with some herbal notes. Easy drinking on a Tuesday night

This wine has quite the grip! On the palate it reminded me of bbq sauce…but also oak, leather, pencil shavings, a bit of fig and some dark fruit. The palate was essentially the same, minus the bbq sauce except this had a strong grip at first. Over time it mellowed out and softened. This wine leaned more towards the savory side than the fruity side.

Pure, medium dark red. Herbs, earth, and bramble on the nose. Medium bodied, tart cranberries, baked cherries, spice, dusty tannins, white pepper, and a long finish. A great value.

Decanted. Now 4h after decant. Hazy golden yellow color. Nice aromas of unripe mango and just ripe pineapples, apricots, herbs and minerals. Of note, when first opened, got more of the grass aromas that I associate with sauv blanc. But now, maybe the mild herbaceousness leans toward the grass side but wouldn't have guessed it blind. Palate with just ripe mango, pineapple, tart apples, minerals, mild grass, and an almost woody bark. Medium body with excellent acids and mild tannins on midpalate. Nice finish of tart fruit, minerals, and mildly prickly tannins. Don't know if this has had some skin contact but the tannins would suggest it has. But the wine doesn't have the ginger and other savory flavors that I associate with prolonged skin contact as the fruit is definitely front and center. So I suspect that the skin contact, if any, was relatively short. Regardless, this is delicious and complex. Lovely balance of tropical and tart fruits complemented by the savory herbs and tannins. There's definitely a lot of stuffing here and I can see this age and evolve for 10+ yrs. Now I wish I had more. Nicely done.

Drinking great now, recommend short decant. A couple more years should pay off as well. Similar in quality to Bevan Ontogeny, though a little more refined, but with a higher price tag.

Almost undrinkable the first few nights, very astringent and almost harsh to taste. after about 5 or 6 nights began to smooth out and reveal layers of dense flavor. I will give my remaining bottles 5-10 years

Stood up for a month. Decanted off fine sediment. Took about 2.5-3h after decant to truly open up. Now 5h after decant. Lovely aromas of mildly candied red cherries, pomegranate, bark, herbs, and brambles. Palate w red and black cherries, a touch of earth, bark, brown stems, a hint of dark caramel, herbs and a touch of earth. Medium+ body with nice acids and faint tannins that become a bit more prominent on the finish. Elegant despite its weight. Nice balance.I'm really enjoying this for the balance and texture. Just a bit dilute on the midpalate but this is nitpicking. Like this quite a bit. 92+

Bottle in and bottle out, always delivers regardless of vintage with this kind of age and more. Hour and a half decant.

Still round, softened medium plus tannins. Ripe, ruby; blackberries, dark cherries, black plum, plum, black raspberries, some fig & date, dry, crushed, ripe crushed rocks, dry top soil, dark, bit driven spice, sandalwood to barrel shavings, fresh & used tobacco w/ ash, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon stick, vanilla, some black licorice/cola, withering, candied; dark, red, purple flowers, round rainfall acidity, balance for days, nicely tensioned and elegance & polish that lasts two-minutes.

Nice, light body & mousse. Pear, red & green apple, pineapple, white peach, cream soda, vanillin, caramel & honey notes, light white spice, some nice yeastiness, bread dough, light & soft chalkiness/limestone, sea spray, white spring flowers w/ yellow lilies, soft, round acidity and a well balanced, rounded, elegant finish.

Disgorged 11/22. 80% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay.

En progression depuis la dernière fois (3 ans), les tannins ont commencé à s'assouplir, un peu alcooleux , un bon coup de carafe est nécessaire.

Decanted five hours before dinner of beef short ribs. A very good wine, and a great pairing. Don't understand the reviewer who called the wine "thin" because this has nice, medium body and drinks like a Burgundy costing 2-3 times as much. Good balance of tannins, fruit and acidity.
One of America's most reliable reds.

This was exceptional tonight. Salty and full of energy, with a bit of flinty reduction but not as much as other Jobard whites I’ve tasted, this was more balanced. Racy and bright, with nice weight and citrus fruit. Very nice!

Definitely infanticide. So tight upon opening, all bright red fruit. Last half of bottle sat in my cellar for two days, opened up some but all the way? After two days some beautiful fruit and herb on the nose, mostly cassis for the fruit, then a very herbal palate with some menthol(?). Herb and woody tannins on the finish. No score, likely in a dumb phase.

Last bottle from PB's original stash of 24; I've been lucky to taste five of them, and this fat lady is really singing, quite majesticly. Rich, if not oppulent, smooth, curve, sexy, honey-notes, good minerality and citrus - just goes on and on. Very sexy - and memorable.
