Like drinking liquid slate mixed with salty ocean water and a squeeze of lemon juice and green fruits. This is flat out gorgeous. I can't wait to taste the 1ers from Malandes.

Medium gold. Kind of rich nose of apples, white flowers, citrus with hints of pineapple all wrapped around a marine mineral core (that becomes more prevalent as the wine warms). Real nice acidity holds it all together on the palate; fruit forwardness maybe a little "modern" (everything is pushed forward) but so well balanced by the brisk acidity it manages to stay faithful to the chablis designation. Another great chablis bargain.

Succulent peach and honeyed lemon dominate, with a ripe and sweet core that comes off just a tad gummy at times. Just enough acid to hold it together and give it the energy it needs to finish out the delivery, albeit a tad sluggish and missing some of the terroir elements that would otherwise provide lift and tension. This does the job, but it is notably less focused and chiseled than its 2017 sibling (which I preferred by a decent comparative margin). Drink this 2016 now.

Very good showing but starting to fade so drink up. Tart lemon, minerals, faint peach. My last bottle - this was enjoyable low cost Chablis from Garagiste.

Crisp, dry, clean fruity wine with bags of lively acidity, true varietal flavours and a superb, long finish.

From 55 year old vines. This is one of the few wines (if not the only?) from Malandes that sees a bit of oak - 50% is raised in 1-5 yr casks, the other 50% in stainless steel tanks - but there is no trace of oak on either the nose or palate. This is impressive stuff. So crisp and clear in it's expression of green fruits, citrus and wet stones this is already enjoyable now. Apparently this parcel is just next to Vaudesir. Promising.

Performs exceptionally well on both succulent and energetic levels given its class. Peachy and lemon juicy, with a saturating mouthfeel that begs to be drank now. It’s not going to MIT or anything, but it’s an awesome little junior college romper that can compete at the state level.

Screwcap seal; so, you could hold a bit if you want, but these certainly seem styled for more immediate consumption. QPR at the $22 I paid for it is wacky good. Competes with and crushes the boatload of $60-70 CA Chards out there. There are some rounded edges here, though the acid is solid and there is some limestone minerality to be had; however, for a more shrill or chalky Chablis, look elsewhere.

White wine tasting - BT group (BT): flawed bottle, wet mold sock smell that made it completely impossible to taste

Serviceable. Served with some street style chicken tacos. This is a little lacking in character, apple and lemon fruit but without the mineral streak.

Opened not decanted. Pulled from the cellar, needs to be chilled a bit more. Sour green grass on the nose. On the entry, sour attack with an acidic bite; medium weight in body; ends with under ripe green fruit that is some what mouth puckering on a wet finish with a touch of heat. Good.

Honeyed lemon, peach, apricot, and some faint stone come together in an inviting and fun Chablis. There are subtle hints of 1er depth here, with a richness (by Chablis standards) that draws you in for another satisfying sip. Finishes with apt acidity to keep everything moving. Gains an extra point for its outstanding QPR.

12.5% alcohol. Very short reconstituted cork (not Diam). Pale straw colour.
The nose is discreet but pleasant with white flowers; similar in the mouth with refreshing acidity but nothing agressive.
Probably not the most concentrated Chablis, or the most racy, but this bottle steers a pleasant middle ground; it manages to be fruity while remaining bone dry, which is an excellent starting point for Chablis.

Atypical for Chablis, very close to Macon Chardonnay, but Chablis continue to wonder me, Medium body, golden yellow color. Elegant stone fruits and herbal aroma. Dominant almond and earthy, melon and pears notes on the palate, long mineral finish. Intense, unobtrusively oily texture, complex and well balanced, thin acidity. Food friendly, best match is shrimps or lobster or poultry, tasted with Mediterranean salad and white cheese. Open half hour in advance. Serve 12º - 16º. Drink now and next three years.

Not very Chablis-like but still very quaffable. Rounder texture from malo, it feels that age has softened this wine up. Ripe yellow fruits. One of the few cuvées from them that sees some oak. Good value.

Ripe apple, lemon and lemon curd with good weight and depth for its level, possibly on the ripe side for Chablis, yet finishing with an energetic finish. Great value wine.

Decent middleweight....I'm not a regular Chablis drinker but I am a fan of the 2008 white burgundy vintage, and this doesn't top my list. For $20, I'd stick with the Maconnais.

54F PnP. Nose with stone and apricot, very fresh but warming. Clean palate with good acid, light to medium weight and good progression to lingering clean finish. Some lemon and stone fruit, granny smith apple, some spice and other notes. Really nice sub 20 chablis. Drinking well but no hurry.

This is so delicious now, crisp and fresh, mineral and fantasy with food. It is so nice to see a basic Chablis bottle so nicely developed and no any trace of going tired, cant see why not keep for another 2-3y.

A really good, now approachable and great QPR entry level chablis chardonnay from quite a reputable producer. A very good QPR wine with enough structure and acidity left for aging several more years under proper cellaring conditions - expect some improvement with increased cohesion and further softening of acids. Clear, light yellow, acidic and well structured but also now controlled and quite balanced and approachable. Nose bright, saline and almost effervescent with white pear and green apple. Primary flavors included riper pear, warmer yellow apple and a very interesting hint of what having grown up in Asia I can best describe as green but ripening guava, the big kind. Definitely recommend this wine.

Light to medium body, golden straw color. Intense orchard fruits and flowers aroma. Gently creamy palate of pears and ripe apples following by mineral finish of good length. Very enjoyable, fresh and elegant wine, complex and balanced, delicate acidity. Food friendly, well pairing to shrimps. Open quarter hour ahead. Don’t cool it too much, serve 12ºC - 14ºC. Drink now and next three years.

Slightly muted on the nose. Acidity not as high as a lot of other Chablis. Above average length. The Petit Chablis from the same producer is worth seeking out too. It's made in more fruit-forward style.

Pleasant, light citrus nose. Fruit is round with just the right level of crisp acidity, green apples, minerals. Nice balance. Finish has moderate length, cleansing acidity. Fruit carries across palate. A very enjoyable basic Chablis.

Continues to impress. For the price and its class, this little Chablis is stupid good in 2017. It’s got zip and acid, lemony succulence, and enough tension and intensity to hold the whole package together and keep the flavors moving in the right direction from start to finish. One of the best bargain Chablis out there considering the quality.

It has a little apricot on the nose, a little mineraly, and nice citric finish. Bottom line: a very nice wine for its price. When compared with most California chardonnays in the price range, this is a much better value.

Lovely Chablis. Fine and elegant apple fruit, great acidity and quite mineral, very fresh, just a hint of vanilla on the finish. Light in alcohol, but very expressive. Not as complex as the GCs though. From a WNW-facing slope just opposite of Grand Cru Valmur. Should evolve well for 5-8years, but delicious now. - 89 points

55F PnP Apple, pear, citrus (grapefruit?) on the nose. Moderate acid, really nicely put together with mild front, building to a pretty rich (for basic Chablis) mid palate and nice clean finish. Lemon and pear on the palate with some minerality. Not terribly complex (but a bit) and very pleasing. Drinking very well with no signs of decline yet.

This is really nice tonight with lots of cool green fruit, abit of nutmeg, perhaps some floral notes and an abundance of oyster shell with a firm acidic core. This s a very good village Chablis with admirable depth for its level.
