White
2011 Bodegas Rafael Palacios Val do Bibei As Sortes Spain, Galicia, Val do Bibei

Lovely nose - passionfruit, vanilla, lemon, slate and spice. Palate is all about the minerality, excellent length and with good fruit presence as well. Fantastic.
White - Sparkling
2009 Roses de Jeanne / Cédric Bouchard Champagne Blanc de Blancs La Bolorée France, Champagne

Disgorged April 2013. Licorice, lemon and apple aromas. Fantastic acidity and freshness on the palate, it is lifted and almost feels too vibrant! Fills out a bit with time in the glass and is much better for it. At first I wasn't sure what I thought but by the end I was loving it.
White
2011 Yering Station Chardonnay Australia, Victoria, Port Phillip, Yarra Valley

Herbal and vanilla nose. Rich fruit but the same herbal note pervades. No length to it.
White
2012 Hutton Wines Chardonnay Triptych Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River
88 points
Pineapple, floral and spice nose. Medium length to it, it has some warmth to it but it isn't a problem for me. Good fruit power in behind.
Red
2011 Passopisciaro Passopisciaro Italy, Sicily, Terre Siciliane
91 points
Served blind. Licorice, cherry, rhubarb and smoky spices. Beautiful tannin presence and red fruit with a mineral core. Fantastic drinking.
Red
2010 Château Pavie Macquin France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru
93 points
Blackcurrant, kisrsch, spice, smoke and a light herbal note. Very fine tannin with supple fruit caressing the palate. Super balance between the richness and structure. A delicious look at a wine that needs more time.
White - Sweet/Dessert
1994 Louis Sipp Pinot Gris Sélection de Grains Nobles France, Alsace
90 points
White florals, marmalade, lime, honeyed botrytis and light spice. Sweetness on the palate has dropped away but there is still a splash left. Mid-good length. Not complex enough to be better than very good.
