White - Sweet/Dessert
1955 Château Gilette Crème de Tête France, Bordeaux, Sauternais, Sauternes

83% Semillon, 15% Sauvignon Blanc, and 2% Muscadelle. Deep gold/brown, honey, dried apricot, rich and succulent, solid acidity, full body, obviously alive and full of vigour. all balanced and very long. It's amazing nearly 70 year old! though I expected a little more density.

2018 Kusuda Syrah New Zealand, North Island, Wairarapa, Martinborough

perfumed, dark berries and spices, bright fresh acidity, some meaty and savoury notes. smooth texture. fine grained tannins, m+ body, m++ finish. clean and pure fruity, combined with fragrant and some savoury complicity. a typical and well polished cool climate Syrah.

all good except a little lean, I still don't get it how it becomes a cult and such a high price (about NZ$200 or even more as you can only find it in auction now).
