  February 21, 2024 - New Zealand Trip; 2/10/2024-2/24/2024: Half bottle. Sauternes blend. Light yellow. Coconut, wood, and pineapple upfront. Medium weight, only moderately sweet, and not too unctuous in its feel. Good acidity but it’s really kept fresh by pungent grapefruit rind that appears late. Interesting, reasonably lively for this genre, and an excellent effort which more than holds its own.

  November 4, 2023 - A Syrah night in Kampai (Auckland CBD): rich and luscious, dry apricot, honey, honeysuckle, grapefruit with a little bitterness, some baking spices, balanced high acidity. full body, long finish with subtle white floral and mineral notes.
  
  A classic NZ sweet wine. Alc 13.5%, 164g/l RS, 50% new oak, aged in barriques on its lees for 12 months.
