November 4, 2023 - A Syrah night in Kampai (Auckland CBD): perfumed aromas of dark fruit preserves, some licorice, pepper and dark spices, rich flavours matching to the aromas, mineral and savoury notes adding another layer of the complexity. full body, ripe tannins, still firm, sufficient acidity to form a grand structure. still young, hold in the next 5 years at least.

June 28, 2023 - Burg/Bordeaux/Italian Dinner with BYO Gang (The Masses Singapore): Medium deep ruby. Very complex nose with aromas that keep evolving through the night, with some jammy plums and cassis, then black pepper, hay, slight barnyard. Full bodied, and with quite some tannin structure, and intensely flavoured with ripe black cherry and cassis, even slightly prunish, then violet florals towards the back with barnyard, hay, and pepper. Very lengthy, and very complex. It still seems rather young, showing only a small piece of what it can really be with age. Great wine!

June 21, 2023 - A perfect match for a light grilled dinner out on a terrace in a warm summer night with candles, music and beloved company

October 27, 2022 - Walk around tasting. From magnum directly from producer. Youthful vibrant ruby with purple shades. Jammy, opulent dark fruit on the nose with some bacon too - might be confused with a Barossa Syrah in a blind tasting. On the palate this wine is absolutely massive. There is a wall of tannin that dominates the fruit at this point. Certainly needs (a lot) more time to settle down and come into balance, but will have a long life ahead of it. Should keep well into the middle of this century, but too young for my taste right now.

November 15, 2021 - Dark purple-red, almost opaque. Aroma of black cherry compote and leather. Super red fruit fruit flavours and hard oak. Hint of Mulberry. Spirity (15%). Too young, but should improve and integrate.
